Could someone wise let me know why Armstrong went from Motorola to Cofidis then to Postal and not direct to Postal as Hincapie did.

According to Hamilton's book, Weisel and Armstrong didn't get on well first time round, their borderline psycho personalities too similar suspect.

Thanks but going hand in hand, whilst Motorola may well have had an endemic doping policy it's team was different to Postal in make up and directors and the recent testimony of the unknown dude at Postal in 1996/1997 stated how there were bags of steroids handed out to riders by the team doctor (ingestion and injection). As such Postal had an endemic doping policy led by doctors and management in place prior to Armstrong's arrival.

Now whilst it may well have become further sophisticated on his arrival I do not have all the evidence to comment but it does lend to the fact that he wasn't the initiator.

On the Motorola thing ..... JIM OCHOWICZ ..... BMC ..... surely needs to go too? If you are all for Matt White, Sean Yates or any oen not to spill their guts falling on the sword The original bad boy Jim at Motorola should take some responsibility?

Is this a super ploy by Sky - next seasons toru de france should be tricky for Bradley ...... unless perhaps there were no other teams!

Discussed today on BBC radio Scotland on John Beattie's programme, by Graeme Obree. Graeme's comments about 15.45 in are worth discussing:

once LA was on Postal he got the first doctor fired and replaced with another doping doctor as the first wasn't prepared to dope them enough for LA. That's part of why he was the ring leader. He also made sure that anyone that wanted to ride the tour with him had to be on the doping programme and pressured CVV among others to dope

I meant to add Devolder's comments with JVB (same article).

"I’m shocked, because I never noticed anything,” said Devolder, who was part of the American squad from 2004 to 2007, and who will join the RadioShack team in 2013. “I can hardly believe it’s true. They always insisted we had to play by the rules. The team carried clean cycling high on its flag.”

    LOL

Para 35 and 49 are interesting.

He mention's nothing about doping early in his career. Makes me wonder whether he was supremely good or took drugs all the way from college.

I think he'd have little to gain from lying about not being on drugs sooner. Is it possible that Tom's an example of someone who was a natural talent but not a great responder?

Yeah a few weak willed ninnies followed a really nasty piece of work to do bad things. A lot of people here suspected this for a long time and now are congratulating themselves. The real shocker is that bike racing was bent as a nine bob note for a very long time. But then this bloke from Kilburn kissed the frog and it was all sorted.

The average BBC sport reader now thinks the same as your well informed BR forum reader with regard to Armstrong.

Otherwise, a few more people have been linked to Ferrari.

I wish I could find proof of it, but I made that exact same Shepard Fairey gag about three years ago. Ironically, Fairey designed one of those Armstrong bikes back in 2009 (the best one IMO)

The main surprises have been how far the USADA document went and how none of the press (even in US) seem to be taking Lance's side.
