Supposedly since his cancer that's about the only thing he wasn't on!I'm left handed, if that matters.0 -
Not going to be searching for any kind of stream - live or otherwise - will let others do the digging.
I don't have a sweet tooth and this will be so laced in sugar and saccharine I'm sure my Gag reflex would kick in.
If at any point I can be bothered to watch a stream it'll be with a warm bucket and some mouthwash nearby. Can I upgrade???0 -
Go for it Lance!
Bring the whole f*cking lot down!
Fat Pat, Verbruggen, Bruyneel, Contador.
Go the whole way.....you know everything...who was on what...who turned a blind eye..who got bribes..
Bring the whole f*cking lot down....“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -

Vino'sGhost wrote:so most important question of the day How do you watch Oprah in the UK?
Apparently it's viewable via Oprah.com, link as retweeted by LA last night: http://www.oprah.com/pressroom/Lance-Armstrong-on-Oprahs-Next-ChapterThe special 90-minute Thursday night episode of Oprah's Next Chapter will air Thursday, January 17 (9:00 – 10:30 p.m. ET/PT) on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network. In addition-the interview will be simultaneously streamed LIVE worldwide on Oprah.com.0 -
What fresh hell is this0

Dunno - I think some pathetic confession is likely, but I can't get the though of Hosni Mubarak in Egypt when he said he was to appear in front of the crowd in Tahrir Square. Everyone though he was going to step down but he basically just went "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH, I'm Staying Loosers, You should see the look on your faces Aaaahhhhhhhh!"
Would think that Oprah is very much the US's Tahrir Square...We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

Surely 5 minutes max is all that is required for a sincere, contrite and outright apology!0

any mention of how much theyre paying him..?! :roll:dont knock on death\'s door.....
Ring the bell and leg it...that really pi**es him off....0 -
Stedman wrote:Surely 5 minutes max is all that is required for a sincere, contrite and outright apology!
IF he admits on the programme, it will be neither sincere nor contrite nor will it be an apology, outright or otherwise.
It will be a totally scripted farce, all questions re-approved by him and his army of lawyers as a condition of Oprah getting an exclusive to bump up the ailing Oprah Winfrey Network0 -
Armstrong's best bet would be to say he has found God and play the victim card, (I was given drugs from the age of 15 by coaches, I thought everyone did it, everyone did do it, I cheated yes, but so did everyone else, there was no way out, I was pressured by sponsors, then I needed to protect the cancer charity, I nearly died of cancer, my step dad beat me up, my mum was young, I'm only a poor boy from Texas, I'm a good dad, I'm sorry I was so nasty to those people but I was under a lot of pressure), then do a David Millar and become rabidly anti drugs.
The sick thing is the Americans will buy it and Lance will go into politics.0 -
This fucking brilliant. Either he is going to annihilate a good many people and perjure himself or, more likely, answer a very carefully list of pre submitted questions with rehearsed answers that will set the bedrock for his ultimate apology and forgiveness by the USA. Then he will appear with a leading Christian light/Politician/President who will say "if this man can accept he did wrong, and come back into the flock, with an apology, we all need to look into our lives and find forgiveness for this American Son and find time to follow his righteous ways and deep personal courage"
I cant wait, this thread is going for another 200 pages boyos, keep up if you can!0 -

Unfortunately I suspect that your scenario is far more correct than mine!0 -

Surely it is a case of 'two wrong don’t make it right'!0 -
Am I the only one who doesn't care? If he admits it, it will only be to benefit himself.Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0

I just laughed when I saw the report. It'll be crocodile tears, obfuscation and half-apologies. The problem is that a lot of people will be taken in.It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0

"Armstrong will address the ALLEGED doping scandal, years of ACCUSATIONS of cheating, and charges of lying about the use of performance-enhancing drugs throughout his storied cycling career."
Does't sound like a confession is due, to me. Not sure what they mean by alleged anyway, he has accepted the charges and the date for appeal has passed.
I can just hear the imortal phrase..."I never tested positive and had over 500 tests" then the sympathy quote "I am just tired of this witch hunt and want to forget I was ever a cyclist and remember I survived Cancer." Then he will announce the launch his campaign to be Govenor of Texas.0 -

Those who really care will only be disappointed if he doesn't admit to everything they think he did (whether actually true or not). Some will be disappointed if he doesn't give it the full Budd Dwyer* treatment

Given the man's history and the softball questions he'll be facing, I think there's an outside chance that it'll be total denial of any wrongdoing ever, with plenty of counter-accusations, allegations of witch-hunting, and character assassination of the likes of the Andreus. We could well see him telling the die-hard fanboys what they want to hear, the story of the all-American hero accused of a crime he didn't commit.
The one thing we can be sure of is that it'll be entirely self-serving.I have a policy of only posting comment on the internet under my real name. This is to moderate my natural instinct to flame your fatuous, ill-informed, irrational, credulous, bigoted, semi-literate opinions to carbon, you knuckle-dragging f***wits.0 -
I'm only interested in which character from Jerry Springer The Opera LA plays. Chick with a Dirk?

I guess Oprah is supplying the cash to pay off SCA/Sunday Times etc...
I don't really see the point of this for anyone except LA. If you want to know what happened you can just look up the Reasoned Decision.
That said I think it will make for fascinating TV. Lance is snake oil salesman unmasked.0 -
It's just a cynical ploy by LA to push this thread over 200 pages so he can claim a thread strava victory.0
