    what a ridiculous stage!

Greipel sits up....Sagan wins a sprint...chains slipping in the sprint...mental!

    Mama mia

I know Greipel is smashed up badly (and therefore he did superb) but still Sagan. Monster.

Sagan...incredible (just before he wound it up he swung round someone quite erractically - great bike handling). Wonder how Greipel will react to that!

Nice bit of bike handling too.

Streaming video packed in so missed the last 4 km. I reckon it's probably down to several hundred people in the office watching the tennis online and there's only so much bandwidth.

Surely they have aerial footage of how the crash occurred.

Menchov survived that, I can see him doing well this year.

    I don't think it does.

Every year some GC contenders lose time or pack in the first week, and every year we've forgotten about them by the time the race comes out of the mountains.

Somebody will have a great placing they weren't expecting and you'll all go wild.

    Greipels chain broke!!! POWERHOUSE

It was the VS rider - actually looked like his mech had broken off!

Good sprinting nous from Sagan. It was this day last year when Wiggo went out, think he'll be glad to have made it today.

...also if they're out of contention for the GC they might attack more in the mountains for a stage win.

So no one knows what caused the crash?

Really good from Sagan, will be exciting to see how he develops as a rider.

Wow, I made a joking comment about him cruising in later after crashes and you get upset. British Number One Syndrome.

I just want to know why he kept pedaling after the chain was broken.
