Jesus I have been out on mtb all day, then pub , now catching up. Looks like total carnage today. Good vibes to all the hurt and well done Evans and wiggins for avoiding it. My 5 quid on Hej at 50 to 1 is down the shitter!

"Another win and I called this one ‘The Hulk'," said Peter Sagan. "I want the green jersey and I think I can hold on to it all the way to Paris."
Contrary to how I felt after his first stage win, actually finding Sagan pretty impressive/entertaining now...

Yes, I too thought RyderH might be a good challenger to Wiggins/Evans. Hate to see riders have their chance taken away like this.

Anyone know how many people started and have now abandoned?

Read a tweet that said he now has a seperation in both shoulders. That must be fun.

Wouldn't be surprised if he abandons. He's had a torrid time.

Poor old Danielson, he's had a brief and rough Tour, and the rest of them out for that matter. Like a warzone.
Well here's hoping we see no more nasty crashes, not nice to see, stating the obvious.

'cos that would be crap, the idea is that the best _team_ wins, not the best 3 riders on the same team, the idea is that it doesn't matter which of your guys finish in the top 3 you get to win the competition, so you can attack with different guys each day to try and win it. Leads to more aggressive racing.

Amongst the Spanish teams, who are the only ones who give a tinker's cuss about the team competition.

    Def Petacchi was it ?

Is Gorka still in the race after that ?

Real shake up on GC seems like only Wiggo, Evans and Bibs are still in the hunt now

Lordy, bet that smarts a little bit. Is this story of Petacchi and his shoe covers legit?

Lampre are saying Asthma-Jet took his shoes covers off, gave them to Davide Vigano. He was putting them away when it slowed, couldn't brake and hey ho

Six weeks ago I had a gash like that after coming off mtb. Looks nasty I bet it doesn't hurt as much as the wrist/ shoulder/ ribs guys. A cut whilst looking impressive shouldn't be a problem if no structural damage.

A lot of peoples' races are effectively over after today and will be making up the numbers.

Well done Brad for staying up front and out of the way.

Podium maybe. It's been a long time since he climbed with the best though.

I can see him top 3, and yeah I've had the same feeling he could get the win. He's staying upright for once.

No. His career is in gradual and terminal decline. He'll come ninth.
