no sign of Golas at the GPM. Chase group swelling, but not far ahead of the main bunch.

Just a thought, if this bad weather continues, what's it going to be like at the top of the Stelvio on Saturday?

    Schleck abandons?

    Pathetic.

tad harsh I think... I think morale is low at the shack

And remember, he wasn't even down to ride this race.

'kin hell - he dislocated his shoulder! Pretty sure none of us would have even cycled for the next month if that had happened to us.

Looked at the Cycling News Live Feed to try and catch up on events as I only have French Eurosport and my French isn't great. It seems to have barely any resemblance to what is happening on screen.

Liquigas knock off the pace on the front, and so the break is going away again, driven by lampre.

Chapeau Cunego for being the big stirring up spoon.

Groups of riders all over the place, so it's quite hard to follow.

Some talk about Rujano being dropped on the first climb?

Bah, lightweight. If Fiorenzo Magni can finish 2nd at the Giro with a broken collarbone, then Schleck has NO excuse!

gap still going out between Cunego and the pink jersey group. Pinotti almost back with chase group.

Rabottini now has 10'07" on bunch and 5'12" on chase

If Rabottini can hold on this will be an epic win, but Kelly doubts he can do it...

Are you chaps having trouble with the feeds? My usual steephill/CF ones have stopped working. Currently watching in Flemish, which I suppose is appropriate for the conditions.

I was quite enjoying the Italian feed on the Gazetta website. With the ticker below (quite a bit behind) it was quite easy to follow things.

Well that's the first I've read about it. Fair enough.
