You haven't got a map of that route have you, or is it fairly obvious?0 -

Can send you a runkeeper link?
Started off from the John Milne, but if your feeling good and want 20+ miles then you can go from home and through Crompton Moor to Piethorne.0 -

Crompton Moor, trying to get over to Piethorne in the reverse of GrahamK's route above. I rode there on the road, did one lap of the "family trail" at Brushes Clough then all the way up the bridleway to the top, with some pushing for the last bit. I then turned too early I think, so ended up on some nice bumpy sections of the tops, then got lost, so ended up trekking back over Higher Crompton as there was a section of path I've seen from the car I fancied a go on.
All in all, I spent too much time on the road but as a bonus it was all fairly dry on the moors I didn't have to give the bike a full clean.0 -
I think the dry weather is going to end about thursday so I'll be out maybe wednesday night for a night ride up at Piethorne again.Advocate of disc brakes.0

That'd be cool.

Conditions were wet n muddy and it was cold but rode some new stuff and explored the jump park. I was there at 730am and didn't see another soul till 10! Wentwood in South Wales. Did the Goshawk Challenge - 25km.
I think it's the hardest ride I have ever done. Long, long uphills, slippery yet sticky downhills and it was blydi freezing.“Life has been unfaithful
