Shame your GPS was wonky; they all seem to say 'Off Road' or 'MTB'. Pity. Better luck next time.

I went for a loop from my folks place, up to Garnlydan, over the Llangynidr mountain past the horses and ever present sheep, and then down to Llangattock.

Now i'm unjustly proud of the Strava Segment, I know that I did very little in that with SS I was freewheeling most of the way. But i'd forgotten how fun that road is. http://app.strava.com/activities/11106786#194476091

I'd also forgotten how not so flat the flat bits are!

Looking forward to getting home and uploading the data for this morning's commute. Left the house just before 6 and I think every single light was green - smashed my PR by about 5 minutes according to my watch. Happy days (hopefully).

In light of the American episodes (possibly), Strava have changed their T&Cs so that you now agree that you won't sue them. Nice.

:D:D:D Only been on Strava a few days and it's doing my fitness a world of good. I was really stagnating on my commutes, this has given me a push to try a bit harder. I need to try a LOT harder on some segments apparently.
Well pleased with the results of tonights ride home though.

Also I've joined your club, despite living 140miles up the road from most of you  hope you don't mind.

To be in our club the only requirement is that your heart is in it ;)

Looks like with a bit more effort you'll pick up a few KOMS from people who have photos of themselves in full race gear as their profile pictures...

Ah just the man. You seem to have taken one of my KOM's. Shall be paying that one a visit over the next few days.

Ah thanks for the welcome...the guy you are referring to absolutely dominates the segments round here...determined to take one off him  , though I'm sure he won't let me keep it for long.

Gah, a combination of wet conditions and GP4000s meant only a brace of 3rd places around the lap this morning, excellent fun though, a few odd looks at work as I strolled in covered in muck...

...it's only a matter of time, those KOMs will be mine!

Is there any way to view the non-KOM 'awards' that you hold in one place?

I've got quite a lot of top tens but can't see what they are without visiting the specific ride details.

Church Road Descent; is it even possible to set a reasonable time if the lights at the bottom aren't green?

Shot down there this morning averaging over 50kph and then did an emergency stop to join traffic at the lights only to find that the last 10m were spent at a speed to 5kph dropping my average massively.

    Gutted.

Had a rare perfect run through Court House Sprint North this morning - green light at start, minimal traffic, a scooter to chase and green light at the end. For some reason, though, I just didn't commit to the effort and felt like I had plenty spare at the end. I fear I may have missed a perfect opportunity :?

Anyone else signed up for the rapha challenge? I have but not convinced I'll complete.

What's the best bang for buck hill in north/central London? I've recently started doing loops with Mott street in but it's quite a long loop with not too much climb in comparative to length.

I could just do straight up & down of the steep part but that'd rapidly become tedious. So any suggestions?

15th July? Why don't they do it when I'm cycling in the mountains. Did 30,000ft 2 weeks ago and another 15-20,000 ft in a weeks time. Balls.

Looks like I'll have to go up and down the Forest Road Climb

Bah, I was having a nice drink on Friday when I happened to check my email. Thought that it'd be a good day to be on there with the strong westerly. TBH, not sure I've got it in my legs to cut 10 seconds off my time. Will have to wait until we next have a good tailwind.

    Oi, Vermin, pipe down.

I only got that KOM yesterday, and I wasn't after a coalition!
