and you weigh 30kg less than I do....

53.5 miles, 6 cat 4 climbs, 12 cat 3 climbs and 4 cat 2 climbs = my first 'extreme' suffer score. There be dragons in them hills...

Some nice climbing in that distance. I really do miss hills.

That doesn't sound right at all. Your garmin may be broken. 4 cat 2 climbs would be far in excess of the total you have there let alone all the others. Obviously it wouldn't actually be possible to do that number of climbs in 50 miles either. A cat 2 climb is going to be a fair few miles long in itself.

Created a segment some months back and called it 10 mins cause it originally took 10 minutes for the 2.5 miles, now the 10mins segment takes me 8:28. Shame there isn't much competition on the segment.

This morning I got my third fastest time on the Kingston to Hampton Wick Roundabout section; I was going that way because I needed to get to Sigma as my pedal had come off.

Clearly my right leg is just holding me back.

I know its not far and not particularly fast but...

5 seconds faster than a year ago despite weighing 9lbs more and having hardly cycled this year. The gods must have been smiling. Thing is, later that day someone went out and bl**dy matched my time! No fair

Why are people creating downhill segments in the UK?

So that you can crow about 94kph and becoming KOM on Arran yesterday.

My wife burst my bubble last night by saying "surely it's not as good as an uphill KOM, you had gravity on your side."

Put a big effort in on a newly created segment this morning, to see if I can dislodge the strava monster that is willyb. Wont know until I get home and plug the garmin in to the computer.

(willyb has probably already smashed it already though).

Downhill segment from North Finchley to the north circ, where the retail park is. I'll see if my 33mph burst is enough!

Ah would that be this segment? http://app.strava.com/segments/4170292

Or is it a new one that you have created?

If you get the lights right you can power down there! Although at 33mph I think you may have it, this section is often at the end of a ride for me so I never go mental

I created that yesterday after seeing a gap in the market

However I note from Strava they are having issues with leader boards from newly created segments. I will be expecting an email soon notifying me that i've lost my KOM...
