Also completed but strava currently seems to be refusing to process my uploads.
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

popped down to Richmond Park this morning. Man, that was busy but nice to see so many riders out enjoying the cold and sunny weather.

Apparently I rode with 15 other riders too (but only one of them was actually riding with me).

Nice! I've never got a clear run through that segment, get stuck at the lights at the bottom of the hill every single time...

Also, can't believe I still haven't spotted you on the commute... Although I've taken to doing A1/A503 past Finsbury Park to give myself an extra mile or two each way.

I've gone that way a couple of times. Strava says your cycles are after 9 in the morning. Perhaps that's why we've not bumped into each other? I'm easy to spot in a cheap flourescent yellow top.
Cycled back via Finsbury park today. Spotted a small peleton after I turned up seven sisters road, or at least one coloured dude towing about four other roadies. I kept a distance (indeed I'm not an aggressive filterer like these guys were) & so had to keep catching up after lights. One by one the others fell off so I caught up with him & one other guy at the top of Finsbury park. Followed and the other guy was just tailing him all the way to the a1055. The fast guy then took a hitch off a bus across the reservoirs and I kept a distance behind. Seen him once before and he is fast. Not sure if he cycles this fast all the time, or just when other people are around :)

  • Ah that'd explain it, finding it harder to get up early as it gets colder and darker... Gotta be in early tomorrow though, so I'll keep my eyes peeled for you. Left lateish tonight and there were a few roadies about, but no one with any real pace. What kind of time do you head home?

  • Not much racing going on these days, I had to dig this up from page 5.

Is anyone else getting Suffer score on Strava, without being a premium member? Just noticed it this morning, but it applies to all the old rides too.

I tend to forget about trying to nail KOMs in winter, not much point, or at least that's a good excuse

I'm playing a whole new game of trying to get within 50% of my carbon PBs on the steel sherman.

No it's fair game. I know i could bail the Millbank segments if the other people were not on smart recording!

  • I love strava, however I dont love some idiot who has flagged a couple of roads on my commute as dangerous?!?!? Which makes the leader boards disperser! I cant see why anyone would do such a thing, they are two of the quietest roads in Norwich city centre!

I have reported what I think is a miss use of the feature using the abuse button but Strava havent done anything about it... :(

Appreciate it's a pain, but can you not just recreate the segments?

Were on the same wave length, I did exactly that and somebody flagged it again!

Only one thing for it. Hunt them down and curse them to be forever stalked by the p******e f***y when attempting Strava segments. Be interesting to see what Strava say.

I have my eye on the Richmond Park KOM (lap) when I finish my tt bike. Reckon a certain clubmate might go for
It and get it first though ;)

I tend not to ever flag segments.
Was annoyed by one segment being deleted - someone created a euston road underpass segment which gifted me a kom. It was subsequently flagged. I don't think it should have been flagged as all you're doing is cycling along a straight road - was the flag because someone didn't like the idea of people going through the underpass?

Got to admit that underpass isn't nice. For some reason if there is not much traffic around cars tend to fly though there. Don't really go that was anymore! Euston Road is a pain to ride in rush hour!

    First proper* KOM!

    * it's not in any way a proper KOM, but I'll take it! (and certainly better than the few random ones I've had before)

    Hurrumph.

The Walton on Thames to Parliament Square segment starts within 500m of my house and so if I want to put privacy on my home address I can't appear in the leader board for that segment. Bah! I'm in 4th.
