Strava is down.... Not happy just when I put a lot of effort uphill. Still don't think that it will be enough.0

But your trace puts you no higher than 33mph despite a 35 mph average. I smell fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiish! What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?0 -

Smart record? That would be a no. It's a bit weird with the average speed I agree. Smart phone was a second slower so maybe that's more accurate? My view is the lord giveth, the lord taketh away - short segments like that always a bit inconsistent with timings, I've been on the wrong end enough times!0 -
Nailed a couple of KOM, seen an opportunity of good lights and no traffic at Canary Wharf ramp and one yesterday uphill on Telegraph hill. Happy autumn season begins....0

Banged it on Castlenau Southbound this evening! Unfortunately my GPS wasn't on.
Anyway, made up for it after leaving the park with a third overall Park Road to Thorpe Road and another 10s off Molsey Bumps West.
Not bad considering how crap I felt this morning.Mud - Genesis Vapour CCX

Not really sure what i think about the new layout of the dashboard :? Guess i'll get used to it.
Clocked 21 hours on the October challenge too, 60 in looking unlikely with only 10 days left!0 -

KOM for a short segment on Clapham common....Now four months into commuting & still not seeing much in the way of competition / SCR on CS7. A fairly quick bloke on a SS riding to Raynes Park last night kept me honest though.0 -
Oh dear lord, strava now groups people you are following into single stories in the new feed..0

PR on Blackheath hill, 7 second improvement, I don't go for it everytime, only if I am feeling up for it as it's towards then end of my commute after 10 hours at work and about 15 miles in my legs0

Just back from a ride & noticed when I uploaded it I had a PB on the crow rd climb near glasgow. Certainly nothing momentous (about halfway down the list, its a popular climb round here) , but when I went to the segment page it stood out that the KOM had an average of 33 mph over a 1.6mi fairly steep climb, several mins faster than anybody else.
Am I correct in assuming this is not possible & someone has been on a motorised form of transport? Even if you just targeted this section (as I think they did) would this be possible?
If so, I mean really, what is the point? Doesnt bother me too much as I am never likely to be challenging the leaders but it is pretty pathetic stuff.

Yeah, that's done in a car.
Might just be that he was taking the piss, might just be they left the thing on while driving home. Either way, flag the ride and it'll be removed.0 -

Think this has fallen down a few pages.
Anyway, cycle home last night fueled by my favourite energy drink. didn't manage to retake my koms but went up a ranking in two sections (retaking a place from whitebait).
I'll take that..

I have found that some ppl cheat on strava! There is speeds on some segments that have been done on a moped and cars just so ppl get the Kom ... Frankly it's quite sad that ppl ruin it ! I love strava and also use it as much as I can but there is so many segments about it makes it very addictiveWhen i die I just hope the wife doesn't sell my stuff for what I told her I paid for it other wise someone will be getting a mega deal!!!

Do youse lot use veloviewer in conjunction with Strava?FCN = 40 -
Just discovered the joys of Strava and tried it out on my ride home. Was pleased to find I'd gone through ten segments, and that I'd scored higher up than I'd hoped for on most of them - even on a battered old MTB.
I'm going to have to try and do better tomorrow, though. This is how it starts, isn't it?0 -

yup! not sure it picks up all the segments but quite fun never the less0 -
Was taking it easy on my Friday cycle home when some other roadies turned up and appeared to be turning the same way as me. What was more, they appeared to be playing the game.
Think I may have gone off a little over exuberantly when the lights changed and so they went backwards rapidly. However, the next few lights which are always against me weren't and for some reason the traffic had evaporated so I got a KOM & 6 seconds off my previous fastest time

Unfortunately the next few sets of light went against me so they caught up and a zebra crossing/car/pedestrian sandwich meant I could only pass one of them again before my turn off.FCN 9 || FCN 50 -

Nice! I've never got a clear run through that segment, get stuck at the lights at the bottom of the hill every single time...
Also, can't believe I still haven't spotted you on the commute... Although I've taken to doing A1/A503 past Finsbury Park to give myself an extra mile or two each way.Ribble Audax - FCN 5
