TFL already have my address on my Oyster card. I ticked no to marketing offers and I don't get them. No problem giving it here.

Pity it's for London though there was a York one recently. I'd guarantee top 3 in Leeds on my own probably

Doesn't really seem fair though! (mind you, since London seems to regard the rest of the country as a minor suburb, maybe it is fair enough!) I'll sign up if I do manage any miles in London though. I have a possible cunning plan that might get me to London during the period.

Nothing in the rules says you have to live in London.

The rules specifically state miles outside of London can be logged.

I logged some hefty tour miles last year & loads of commuter; think I came in at 1,250 miles for the month!

Sadly I'm not a BR rider but do it for my office..

    Actually the rules do say:

"1. Cycle Challenge allows miles to be logged by individuals aged over 18 who live, work or study in Greater London."

although there's nothing in the general blurb suggesting that iit's limited to Londoners

TfL and its subsidiaries may also contact you about our offers and promotions.
Please tick the box if you do not want to receive this information.

Tick box next to top line - so you'd leave it blank only to read the 2nd line and realise you need to...

I've signed up, I'll be out of the country for a large chunk (honeymoon) so mileage will be rather poor, but it all counts eh.

As I remember saying in the thread for last year, that rule is (IMHO) nonsense. London is not a closed city. Don't miles ridden by visitors on bikes not help to reduce congestion etc? I ride there, regularly. I probably ride in London more than many who do 'live, work, or study' there (three times in the past week, for a start!).
Signed up and group membership requested.

Mileage from 18th June-15th July....bugger, my LeJOG won't count. Or the Dun Run, or my Dunwich rehersal ride. Ho hum, that'll only leave an FNRttC (Whitstable, may ride back into the smoke for the team!), and whatever other long runs I fit in. I want to have another go at the audax route from January (Wantage and back)....

Wil sign up. 15th June - shame not 15th of May so LEJOG would count. Should bag 800-1000 with pre-Marmotte training and Marmotte.

Well, my next crazy exploit may well be a one day ride from Leeds to London (224 miles but less than 4000 feet climbing so it ought to be feasible) - if I do it, they'll go on the challenge!

I don't think I can fairly sign up unless I either live in London or ride in London. Passing through on the train doesn't count

Asprilla, bassenjunkie ran this last year, you checked with him to see if he doesn't want to run it again?

I was going to make him admin when he signed up, provided he wanted it. Just not got round to sending the PM yet.

Fair? I'm sure your MP (as with all the others...) claims to work in London ;)
You have as much right, morally, to sign up as anyone else!
