2. Mike - 1,299.88km
3. Nick - 842.12km
4. Shayne - 804.32km
5. Mark - 446.42km
6. Matt - 428.10km
I've corrected mine, not sure why you're seeing 430km, it's definitely showing as 446 for me. Not that it matters, I'm still 5th0 -
Freind request in, Cheers Matt. ( All sounds a bit desperate don't it).0

Have just done friend request on Endomondo for the challenge..
Name - 'Evan Mac Aodh'
Cheers Dude0 -
First workout of the month uploaded. Looking to get about 450 miles this month. I need to get my speed up as I've slowied down a bit doing the extra mileage.
I'm also looking for a suitable venue to take the fastest mile... :twisted:0 -
Well I'm off for about 10 days now. Hoping to get in some riding inbetween watching the racing, so hoping for a good result in the MTB miles challenge and the top speed challenge.0
-
I'm racing every weekend this month, so not many miles, but should be some decent MTB rides. Anyone doing Mayhem solo?!0
-
well my windows HD7 isnt uploading any data! so that puts me on the back foot straight away :evil:0

Go into the endomondo settings, and turn on "Online tracking", it won't upload unless you switch that on - stupid Endomondo mis-naming buttons!
You don't have to leave it on during a ride, in fact it's preferable not to in terms of battery life, but once the ride is done, turn it on, and eventually Endomondo will upload it.
Sometimes, I find that either exiting, then restarting Endomondo, or hitting "new workout" is needed too.0 -
Woohoo ! May aswell soak up the moment of glory being first for the first time as only one other person has done a workout (mtb)0

need to turn off the data connection (or turn the phone on and off again or sometimes just restart the app).
Seems to have been fixed in the recent endomondo update thouhg.0 -

Ooh, one other thing to check maybe is that you're running the latest Endomondo update. Maybe if you're on the old one, it refuses to talk to the website or something? Not certain about this at all, but it's worth a try eh?
The newest Endomondo for windows phone has a button to play music right in endomondo itself (but it's buggy as hell, and doesn't really work that well )0 -
-
Just a reminder to the half dozen people who have "friend requested" me on endomondo over the last couple of days, I'll not add anyone unless I know who they are.
If you've sent a request through, please either PM me or post your name up here.

Does anyone know in what way the fastest mile is done ? Is it just the fastest mile youve done regardless of 'laps', as my phone tells me Ive done a 'lap' for every mile then gives a time of how many minutes that it took.0

on that subject, are we ruling out certain people with road bikes who " accidently" leave it on Mountain biking?0

Fastest mile is open to anyone
Total Distance all sports is open to anyone
Total Distance MTB is only open to MTB
Doubt anyone is sad enough to cheat on a competition on teh interwebs against poeple they don't know for no prize.
There are enough categories there to please everyone (or there damned well should be by now). Anyone caught taking the plss cheating will be hit with the ban stick.

Turns out, people are crazy. In a bad way.
I'm losing interest in this frankly. it was nice and simple before, now I have to remember to change endomondo, or change the thing afterwards.
I'll see how I go. It might just be that I'm feeling rather "meh" in general this week.0 -
Cheers yeehaamcgee. I added in a couple of road miles en route to the trails in order to get a faster mile today, previous effort was horrific0

That's what I was worried about when I added the new one in.
If you CBA changing it from commuting / MTB etc all the time, just don't bother and stick to the general mileage challenge. I'm considering doing something similar myself. Failing that, I may just record them all as cycling sport, and then go through and change them over when I feel like it.
I only put the other one in there for the people who were not happy "competing" with the commuters and roadies.0 -
Hmmmmmm, odd.
It has added my miles from today (recorded as a MTB ride) to the general challenge, and has updated my fastest mile.
but it has not added those miles to the MTB challenge.
Bit of a let-down.0 -
Good luck this month everyone, I've done my hamstring in0
-
Shame I'm racing so much this month, otherwise it looks like victory could've been mine! **maniacal laugh**0
-
Add your racing to it.0
-
I will, but it's more the associated rest days and what not, tends not to mean many miles! Mayhem should be a reasonable number for the MTB challenge at least, even in a team!0
-
Ah, of course. I see.0

Unlucky. Get well soon, I'll be needing someone to challenge me in August...
Added a huge 1.8 miles to my total this morning.
TBH, I'm really not sure what to do though this month as since I've stopped doing the 30+ miles a day, my legs and hips are really aching - more so than when I was putting in the mileage :?0 -

This is what I found. After hitting the 1K mark last month I slowed down a bit but carried on riding similar distances per day, my last ride was on Monday which was only 40 miles or thereabouts, had rest days Tuesday and Wednesday and played cricket Wednesday evening and my hamstring just seized it felt like, been stiff as anything ever since. Hoping to be back on a bike by Monday really...0
