It's one thing to buy a Chinese frame copy ( I might myself one day) but it's another thing altogether to have it painted up as a Pinarello. Very sad.

An original Pinarello is also made in China and later on painted up as a Pinarello. :D

Must get tedious though continually having to tell people interested in your bike that it isn't a real one but a fake.

    Show me your cheap Chinarello........???

Not sure what you are on about - I was merely curious, given you said that you didn't go for a fake Dogma paintjob to impress people, how you avoided accidentally impressing people with it without continually explaining that it only cost a few hundred quid. If you'd bought it in plain black, you wouldn't have had that problem.

Wevergo who did you purchase your frame from on ebay? Or what is the frame model?

    Hello,

Let me say the frame is excellent!
    Paintjob is also well done.
    The price/quality is amazing!
Price frame was €423,- ore GBP 375,-
More then three thousand kilometers and still perfect ride.
No complaints at all, I am very entusiastic.
I bought this fakeframe not to impress people because I have also the brandname bikes: Trek Madone 5.2, Cube Agree GTS Pro, Wilier Izoard.
This replica Dogma can compete with my highend carbonbikes and it looks great.
In fact it's my favourite bike!

Don't believe negative criticism of people who don't have bought one ore have no experiences with a Chinarello themselves. Mostly they are talking nonsens because they do not have one.
Read only reviews of the users, they know what they are talking about. :D

Does this frame suffer from 'front end lift'?

I have no problem at all riding a fake Chinarello/Pinarello, It seems to me that you have a problem with it.

Maybe it is real. Maybe Pinarello are just like all the rest and buy cheap Chinese frames and just get them painted and badged up?

.....All Pinarellos are made in Taiwan in Taichung.....Why is this important? It’s important for pricing. Any frame made in the US and Europe can have a premium price attached to it. Frames that aren’t can’t breach a certain logical price limit. Obviously this isn’t true for every manufacturer, especially for some who don’t want you to find out that your bike was made in Asia, like the Prince by Pinarello......."

What would happen if you got a cheap frame decaled in pinarello dogma replica design and then got it insured telling the company it was a real dogma? Not that i would do such a thing just curious because if it got pinched couldn't you then claim for an actual dogma replacement?

Or does it not work like that :?

I tried that once with a car... bought a Fiat 127, stuck a Lamborghini badge on it.. and tried to be deceptive, and downright dishonest by lying through my teeth... didn't work!

    Perhaps you'll need a receipt???

Re sticker protection, depending on how decent the vinyl is, shouldn't need protecting, mine have been ok through numerous washes so far.
