What a glorious thread... where have you been hiding all summer?

I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

Does Bhima do the Manc wheeler club runs? I might make a trip over in my reading week and take in the experience.

Don't think it's him in disguise. I actually passed him going down Pexhill out of Macclesfield at the time that was posted. Wearing the same grotty BC skinsuit and ridiculous cycling cap.

    Does he exist?

Or, more to the point, does the man that exists as Bhima live the life of "Bhima"...

How old is the poor mite?

Yes he exists. Many of us have met him. Mid-20s. As for the 'life'? Do you think we'd take the p!ss so much if any of it were true?

I saw him on one last year but dont think he's done any recently. I've been racing so not really done any myself since March.

    I'm Bhima. Here are some random things about me;

I'm a musician - I play drums and saxophone as well as create other textures using my computer equipment. Posting up my work on here is too much of a hassle so let me know if you want to hear anything.

I'm a cyclist - I love riding 60+ miles around the countryside, especially in Hale, Knutsford, Alderley Edge, Macclesfield and the rest of the entire Peak District.

I'm a student - Studying business. I run my own portable recording studio business, which regularly records gigs/events/bands in remote locations/etc.

I'm sometimes on another planet with my thoughts, very spontanious, (too) chilled out and quite open-minded about everything.

I like the past and the future more than the present. I'm in to all things classic/retro and futuristic/scientifically inconcievable.

Don't talk to me about physics, because I will not shut up once I get going.

    Sooooooooooooooo

If you can'r ride further than 60 miles you aint gonna hack it as a mate. Be very wary of mentioning the word shhh..... "physics" unless you want to be stupified with a mind numbing stream of blather that will make you frankly unconcerned whether you are in the here, now, then, or that to be where Bhima seems to flit between....

Confused? Stick on some of his music, or have a banana.

Could someone give some kind of synopsis as to how Bhima became such a figure of ridicule. Seems like a fairly nice guy, and is obviously a dedicated cyclist. Is it purely because of his outrageous claims of riding prowess?

Too lazy to use search cos there's a few posts. Just after the headlines.

Not just outrageous riding claims.....anyone remember the sandpaper shoes!

In all fairness he does do some things really well, that cancellara vid he did on youtube was cracking!
  • Some say (well Bhima said) that he once ate 7.5kg of fruit and a bucket of natural yoghurt in one go. And then knocked out 4 hours of tabata intervals.

I don't know if I was on a bad day, but he took it eays up Long Hill, and then he murdered me on all the other climbs, there was like a 10% but and he sprinted up it at like 16mph and I could barely keep up.
