Will someone please put me up in Manchester for a weekend so I can get a ride in with Bhima and Freehub, it sounds incredible!"A cyclist has nothing to lose but his chain"

Will, stick to bikes. They don't give you loads of agg' when you go out and ride another one."There's a shortage of perfect breasts in this world, t'would be a pity to damage yours."0 -

Since this is Bhima's thread, according to his Facebook statusBhima Bowden
As of today, i'm officially a full-time cyclist
Make what you will of it
Wonder if he's sponsored by JSA?
Just thought I'd say, bored like, like.0 -
A Courier?0

Maybe, but he's based in Macclesfield.0

Hmmm. Not much call for couriers there! I'm intrigued, despite my sensibility telling me not to be!0

Postie?..........

His facebook pic is tragic
The glasses are 10 sizes too big.
And as for the girl talk, EVERY woman (without fail) I have ever spoken to finds cyclists silly and totally a turn off. I cycle to keep fit, and it is about as far from a pull sport as you can get. Good job I am married!
Try rugby if you want birds... that worked!0 -
I met my girlfriend thro' cycling so it worked for me. They prob.find cycling silly unless you are eg Tom Boonen/mark cavendish et al where it pays for a nice house in sunny climes and an expensive car or two. Suddenly, cycling seems to be quite attractive!M.Rushton0

and he's still not managed to race!0

I assume he means he hasn't got a job, has finished in education so all he does with his time is ride his bike in an awesome manner0

You mean Sophie van Vliet? She's been on the arm of the top Benelux riders of the last few years0 -
lol hes so misunderstood all the time.
im not getting involved in this.0 -
That's funny. I'm also based in Macclesfield and am also currently a full-time cyclist. Maybe Bhima and I should start our own team together. I can race and he can pretend to race.0

I didn't know one could make a living from "glass-cranking"?Ben

An update on his movements from the otherwise fantastic OREC on Facebook:
Bhima Bowden ''Training'' has been particularly Euro this week; lots of joking around with riders who are suffering, a few phone numbers when lounging at the cafe and then dropping an Audi supercar, complete with German driver and pumpin' beats, on my local descent.

So true, especially when you turn 40, can't quite get rid of that wine-o-belly and still shave your legs. It is ridiculous when you think of it.....0 -
'pro' and 'full time' are not necessarily the same thing.....0

SO what she said."I hold it true, what'er befall;
I feel it, when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost;
Than never to have loved at all."

You are a genuine pro cyclist?
No. Being professional would imply I get paid for it. Funded - yes, but paid, no.
I just no longer have a job and am currently riding more.0 -
just been on a ride with bhima! he still has no internet.
he looked a bit confused about how much out of proportion the whole thing has got. he said he was quote 'intrigued' that there is a thread with running commentary on his life
he would like to thank his fan club for the support and continued concern and welcomes anyone to come along for a nice steady / easy ride this saturday near macclesfield if any body wants a chat at the cafe.
on a side note. hes been working like a dog all year. no time for cycling. now he gets paid a shitload for working 2 days a week and now he has lots of spare time for riding.0 -

Reading this thread it reminds me of why I stopped posting on forums a number of years ago. I think you should all get a grip, this is a cycling forum, not a stage for boarderline bullying. I know Bhima personally, you've just got to take him with a pinch of salt. He's a good lad really.0

he rides around my way,passed him a couple of times in my metrogoing downhill slowly0
