Yep that doesn't look like much fun. The descent on the narrow walled road looked especially sketchy.

Bhima made his debut to RR last night at the Tameside Circuit in Manchester in the 2/3/4 I think, not sure how he did though.

Not top 10 according to the BC website.

God knows why I'm interested, but yet another person gets sucked into this thread about someone I've never met and lives about 300 miles from him!

I don't know Bhima but I have been drawn into this cult too. He sounds like the saviour the Earth has been looking for. Does anybody know where I can get some kind of action figure to use as the centrepoint of my shrine to the great one? All I have at the moment is a picture of a banana which I understand to be the chosen one's favourite food.

No one can resist the lure of the man, the myth, the legend that is Bhima.

    Why is it that

    A) I do not know Bhima
    B) I will never know him - I can't honestly ever see our paths crossing (not through malice or anything, just that I can't see it really)
    C) I wasn't part of any Bhima related threads
    D) I don't really care

But I have still been drawn, inexorably into this thread and it is now compulsive reading?

Is Bhima actually some sort of cult leader with a really weird magnetic personality that draws all and sundry to him? Will we soon be leaving jobs & families to follow him around, like a sort of lycra clad apostillisation of fools baying obedience to yoghurt, milk and getting disqualified for wearing headphones and a Walkman while riding in some amateur Saturday TT obviously governed by foolish rules and people who take themselves far too seriously?

I have visons of Brian et al…….

Or is he just sitting there in front of his computer slowly shaking his head form side to side wondering what this bunch of fools are doing cyber stalking him?

I feel we must be told

The chosen one has asked me to act as his treasurer to raise funds for the 'event'. I can't go into details, but you DO want to be part of the 'event'. We currently have 372 members and we are always looking to expand our network of devoted followers and fundraisers.

If you like to join please log onto http://www.moremoneythansense.cult.uk and donate at least £15000 towards the 'event' funds to guarantee you ascension to the 'next place'. (There's also a weekly draw where the winner gets a bunch of bananas).

Follow the light my friend, come with us to the 'next place' and be saved (or at least be in with a chance of winning some fruit and maybe meet some impressionable women at one of our meetings).

Fruit - cool. Count me in.

Can I pay instalments? Say, maybe, tuppence ha'penny a year? Any amounts larger than that then the delicious Victoria will kick ma azzz for wasting money on that stupid bicycle again and why do I bother when she's a multiple Olympic and World Champion and I'm, errrr, not.

Will joining this Cult of Bhima ultimately lead us to a run down farm in the Chiltern Hills and a standoff with UCI Agents armed with Zipvit Bottles... Are we getting ridiculous enough yet?

PS I have no idea where the Chiltern Hills are..

Really, where's Chiltern then? (Try looking up Chiltern on Google maps and it takes you to Australia!)

Wikipedia say that the Chilterns are "Goring-on-Thames in Oxfordshire, through Buckinghamshire, via Dunstable Downs and Deacon Hill in Bedfordshire, to near Hitchin in Hertfordshire".

Some say that his milk cartons contain human breast-milk, and that he was born wearing a head-band. All we know is that he's called Bhima.

I've been at the Tameside RR too and I've met him personally :D He is a funny guy but you can see straight away that he's a little bit odd. He started right off the front and I've been right at the back. I've got him about 3 laps later and after probably few more he disappeared as I never saw him again :( and believe me you recognize him from faaaaaar away :D

Picture from the start here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ed_rollaso ... hotostream
