    Hi guys,

Can't see the vid at the mo but I caught the right peg on a tree root (I must have ridden past it 100 times  ) and it stopped the bike dead. Easily avoidable I just wasn't being as cautious as normal I guess..

No cast thankfully waylander - just have to keep it in a sling for a week

btw if anyone does find my nuts up there I'd appreciate their return

What did you damage James? Did this happen on the section before the style at car park 3. How did you manage to ride the rest of the trail? Hope you make a full recovery.

    Hi Ian,

Just sprained two fingers on my left hand (not sure how) that's about it. It happened before the rocky DH section just before the concrete ramp. Not sure about the car park numbers

To be fair my left hand was quite painful for the rest of the ride but - no point in grumbling, not like I had a choice to give up  I know boys who have ridden with broken arms so I had no excuse! The DH was painful  but epic at the same time, absolutely loved it.

DH lid on order so more DH to come hopefully.

My arm's still in a sling Ian so as soon I'm able I'll trial that bike rack. Thanks buddy

Just wondering if anyone fancied Glyncorrwg on Sunday, Maybe July trail. Something different. Sample one of the best final descents on Skyline. :D
Share cars to cut down on fuel costs.
Maybe one weekend we could organise an uplift day at Cwmcarn. Good buzz from the DH. 8)
No rush about the rack James. Look after that arm mate, you never know when you may need it.
  • Why am I always away when you guys suggest awesome rides?!

    Whats the Blaenavon trail like?

And more interested in tails than veiws :p
  • Whats the Blaenavon trail like?

    Its different and very natural

Most of the climbing is done on road, with the exception of the Punchbowl climb which is a nasty steep sheep track which i find unrideable

The main decent starts of rocky ( I have to push that bit  ) but then turns in to a rollercoaster down the valley.

The route also follows the ridge past loads of Slag heaps that look ripe for a bit of sessioning

There isn't as many thrills per km as Cwmcarn but a big part of riding for me personally is the views and location.
A full reviiew and map can be found in this monts MBR
Your more than welcome to join Kev and I on Saturday

Hmm would be tempted but i need new rear bushings on my bike cos i'm harder than it :p

But sounds interesting, I don't mind the pedal as long as the good bits are really good if you know what i mean :)
