    Results are in.
Sean was 7th, Paul was 8th and I was 16th. There were 89 finishers in the 25k category.
Gareth and Paul a very creditable 124th in the 50k.

HI billy, we normally meet in Cwmcarn car park around 9:30 on a Sunday, I'm going to be there as are probably quite a few of the other fine you gentlemen off here.

    Damn I'm tired...

By the way, I received my complimentary stuff from Muc-Off today after my little rant to them re the exploding we-lube. I got 1 litre of Muc-Off, 125ml of wet lube, a really nice lanyard and some other goodies, got to be £25 of stuff :D fair play to them, very prompt.

And I got my Avid bleed kit, thanks again G dogg..

Well done to G and sladey, if you were half as fit as you are you would still be fitter than me

i'm not sure about this weekend guys, i've got loads of work to do before the floor layers come in on monday so i may have to give it a miss. i may just do a mini DH session on a small course by me though if anyone's interested?

New for 2011 – the GORE BIKE WEAR™ Prologue Marathon:
Big news for 2011 – introducing the GORE BIKE WEAR™ Prologue Marathon powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport. Taking place on 13th August at 11am, riders can enjoy an approx. 40km marathon ride with an optional special stage at the end where riders will get the chance to test their ‘racing skills’. It is open to all TransWales riders (but not compulsory) who want to limber up and get their legs in shape for the big challenge ahead. It is also open to non-TransWales riders who would like a taster of a typical unique day’s riding in the TransWales.

    what you think peeps? £25

I think that what was very interesting was the amount of DNS. Was that did not start or did not finish. 35 in total. Also if you look at the number of 50k entrants who ended up doing the 25k, they were the top 3 to start.
I think there were originally 50 25k entrants. Think it showed how tough it really was.
Sunday seems like a plan. Catch you guys there.

i didn't see it and rode it like darren, i wondered why the marshall looked at me like i'd shat in his mouth

I should be good for Sunday fellas, like I said if I can physically get the bike in the new car I'll be there.

Shame you can't make it Kev.

The event in August look good, think I may rethink my clothing and tyre choice for a 40km ride though. Lightweight clothing, no armour and 1.9s all the way

Del im going to sign up for this one with the mrs, doing the mini marathon, just a bit of fun.
    25k 594m climb.

CRC MTB Marathon – Llandovery 22nd May 2011:
Following the Road Sportive on 21st May, we turn our focus to the Sunday MTB Marathon, the ‘headliner’ of the activity line-up, which takes place on 22nd May. The superb, first-class MTB courses will be an exciting mix of open hill, bridleways, forest roads, dual and single tracks, taking you into the Brecon Beacons national park and through some splendid countryside with stunning views, coupled with never before used trails in the offing, what more could you ask! John won’t disappoint at this new location and will be giving riders the chance to really enjoy the challenging sections a brand new location brings. Contrary to the first round of the series in Builth, this event will have the full marathon distance on offer for the endurance fanatics out there.

The route will cover four different courses:
full marathon – approx 100km course
middle marathon – approx 75km course
half marathon – approx 50km course
mini marathon – approx 25km course

    Start time:
The marathon will start at approx 10.00am on Sunday 22nd May at the Llandovery RFC.
    Registration opens:
    Friday from 6.00pm – 9.00pm
    Saturday from 7.00am – 8.00pm
    Sunday from 7.00am – 9.00am

    Entry fee:
£32, £27 (for Mini Marathon) or £22 (for Mini Marathon if you are under 16 years old) or reduced price of £47 if you take part in the discounted ‘weekend ticket’.

then im going todo the gore bikeware Prologue marathon on 13th august 40k :)
