Went to the local post office on the mega off chance that 'held' meant being held by royal mail and lo and behold it was sat behind the counter. The woman asked if there was a note left by the postman - of course not :roll: :evil: if I hadn't of gone to check who knows when it would have turned up. Sorry Del but bloody postman! :?

So now all is well with the world and I'm happy with the upgrades boy they've got some power compared to the 3s. They feel the same in the main for half of the travel of the lever; it must be an Avid characteristic but then you can tell they're far more powerful and a little more squeeze and they lock the brakes solid from any speed - on dry tarmac. Good news as they can only get better after bedding in,

You'll notice I've had to put a loop in the rear cable by the shock as both are quite a bit longer that the 3s. Fits nicely though. They don't look rediculously big but happy with the looks and performance so far.

They're large, you know my build I'm about average and they fit great, I'll be getting large again. They're only about 8 months old. They're a bit muddy but I've never had a big off (or even an off that I can remember) that they've taken any kind of impact on so apart from bramble scratches they're as new (or will be after a wash )

£14 to the boys and they're yours.

glad you got your brakes , tip for the future pay a bit extra for priority service that way it guarrenteed for 1pm next day, its wot i always do , because i see what a mess the normal packet delivery system is in.

as for tomorrow the place i walk the dogs has dried up lovely as the week's worn on so hopefully the forest might have done the same. :P
