Tahnks for the b-day wishs had a mear of a ride monday. banged me shin 100 feet out the car park, then banged my 2 fingers hard then went over the bars bounced and landed hard with the bike pinning me down. hurt my thumb and shoulder a lot. still hurtnig now.

Was going to do the Brecon Beast but looking at the weather forecast not going to bother now, can't be arsed. The Mrs has made other plans or I would have joined you on your ride Griff. Anyone up for Afan next sunday ?

went out on a little local ride tonight test the new lights, just after the heavens opened, may as well gone out in the rain as i was riding though rivers coming off the mountains, and puddles like lakes lol.

Lights were fab tho

I am going to be doing CC tomorrow (Tuesday) with clamps at 6:00......rain or shine. should be doing Thursday too and maybe even Wednesday. :shock:

Very windy here at the moment, rain is intermittent so the trail should be OK, just skip the jumps at the top or make sure to keep your wheels on the ground.

Ha yeah was thinking it could get interesting on those table tops on the freeride section......it was windy up there last time I went and it wasn't even a windy day!

F**k me was it windy on the top of CC today!!

i was getting blown all over the place on the freeride section, impossible to ride properly...spent the whole time on the freeride section just laughing at the gale force winds blowing me around! Was fine once you got off the top bit though.

Probably gonna head out to Afan on wednesday.........haven't been there before, looking at the website i'm prob gonna do 'The wall' or/and 'Whites level'.........Which do you boys reckon i should do first as the main event?

I see Whites has a black section, whats that like? anyhting crazily mental? Cwmcarn seemed a bit tame to me today, so could do with bit more of a challenge on the descents!

Whites and the Wall are both good, maybe fit them both in? not sure which I would chose if I could do just 1 tbh btw you could do the DH at CC for a bit more of a challenge.

Just had a look on youtube, Whites level looks pretty good, that energy section looks well smart...think i might do that one first, i fancy something challenging and haven't had the chance to do much north shore riding, so fancy a go at that....and if i have enough time go for the the wall after!

Yeah i was tempted to do the DH track today but i'm not entirely sure where the DH track actually starts, should have kept an eye out for it on the way up eh. The uplift wasn't running today either or i would have done that.

The black section at afan is ok and rollable, just might be a bit exposed if this wind keeps up. It's only the last part which I thought was a bit dodgy but it was wet when I did it and you go across so slippery rocks!

if your going todo just the wall go from afan carpark.
if your just going todo whites go from Glyncorrwg carpark

if your going to travel to afan and your finding cwm carn easy just one section is to easy, i would say do W2 its the whites and the wall combined, but start from Afan Forest Park not Glyncorrwg Mountain Bike Centre.

you do the wall climb, then you shoot across a fire road to whites nice and easy then your fresh for energy, do the whites loop and then back across the fire road and then its down down down back to the carpark happy days.

Tom it did get dark early tonight i think i will plonk a helmet light on just incase

^ this, i don't really like whites level that much, but i love the wall..combine them both into a great ride..43km i think isn't it daz?
