    Constantly trying to upgrade my parts.It is a long road ahead as things are so expensive for little gain. n+1 is always the principle in my mind.

    Changed my shock bushings "year and a half", need to get a set of hope rear wheel bearings also little play coming in them, first set lasted year and half, this set 6 months damn DH ;)
    rain here already :( out for a local ride in a little while.

    i'm back in Welsh land finally!

    Got today off work so will hopefully get up to Cwmcarn for a quick blast... need to get milk and stuff 1st though lol....I want my breakfast!!!

    I made it up to Hospital Fell Ridge in Winlatter on Saturday, wet ride but bleeding brilliant. Still my fav trail!

    Was at Cwmcarn this morning walking the Raven trail and the car park is being worked on. Being the nosey type I am, I asked wos occuring.
    The car park is being widened. Tarmac up the middle. They are cutting into the bank to do this. I think there is a new exit for the trail just a few meters along. Apparently there will be a charge for parking once its doen. This will probably just bring it into line with other centres whic is no bad thing.
    The new trails are being done next year. Its a 40+KM trail on the left side of the valley (Looking up the valley)using the original unfinished trails. The climb will be the same up to car park 1 :cry: Looking to open December 2013 Ithink.
    Update on the Machen mountain Ynysddu side, from the 1st cattlegrid, the 2 berms then drectly left has been destroyed. A new access road has been cut into it joining the fireroad. :cry::cry::cry:
    Dont know if its for forestry work or what but thats natural forest there :evil:

    Forgot to mention that also a new DH course is going in on the new side. Once open the old XC and DH will be shut for a revamp then reopened. It will be fantastic when completed. 4 courses 8)

    At the risk of sounding tight.... I need a season pass or another plan.

    I don't mind paying.......except when its 3 sometimes 4 times a week for short stays.

    Agreed. One of the best things about Cwmcarn is no parking charges.

    With all of the cash given to develop the trails, you'd hope they wouldn't need any more!

    But I understand the need for money in the long term for trail maintainence. I just hope they get the charges right.

    but there is a free car park just before it "coming off the m4 way" and its easier to get to the start of the wall without the new detour do you know it?

    have a look at the start there thats it, take the left very steep brop down under the old bridge, then once on the other side of the river take a right so you are on the other side of the valley.

    South Wales Argus just reported proposed car park fees of £1 for 2 hours and all day at £3.

    Yea had 2 502b torches on bars one xpg "spot beam" and one xm-l "flood beam"
    and a chinky magicshine thing on me lid "spot wth good spill" must be some good light for the go pro to film it happy dayz :)

    got another 502b xm-l on order, will had a pair of 502b xpg's 2pair cells velcro mounts if needed and charger for sale then, Kev got first dibs though.
