    There is a scoring system in place for the miles:
    * 0 – 10 miles = 5 points
    * 11 -20 miles = 2 points
    * 20 + miles = 1 point

    I'm guessing that is points per mile so a 10 mile commute will score 50 points (10 miles @ 5 points per mile)

    As June is a big month for Sportives and I think I've collared most of the SCRer's who are taking part in the Dragon/Magnificat and the various L2P rides I think we should do fairly well.

    I'm in.

    Here's my log for the past couple of months. Ignore the overall total, my satnav went skewif at a while back and was logging speeds in excess of 1,000mph

    It'd be a shame for my miles to go to waste. Joined.

    Officially my miles won't count unless you can somehow class Bristol as very Outer London :lol: Anybody want to bag my miles for this or is that cheating?
    I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

    It's not limited to Londoners :-)

    The rules state "Cycle Challenge is open to people aged over 18 who live, work or study in Greater London". Pretty sure they didn't when I signed up, but I might have missed it....

    Bother. Pretty sure that wasn't there when I signed up too... That makes my miles invalid I guess, unless you really want to stretch the interpretation of the rules: I do occasionally work (once a month I'd estimate) in Greater London, so on that basis alone, I could be in.

    Is it just me or does this seem very open to abuse? I mean who verifies mileage? Any old fat slob could claim to have done 500 miles last week and claim the prize and who could prove otherwise? Am I just being cynical of human nature?

    So, are us non-Londonites clocking up the miles too? I will work in London at least once this month...

    Just noticed that too. I also had to reset my password this morning because it wasn't being recognised.

    Poor, poor DBA methinks.

    Could be cuts in the IT budget. ;)
    In which case, it would be poor, redundant DBA...

    Don't know how long it will last but Team SCR are currently top of the Social Groups/11-50 Members leaderboard :-)

    Of course this could just mean we are the only social group that is posting on works time.......;-)

    im undecided whether to do 25miles after work or not tonight due to doing a triathlon yesterday morning and my legs being very very tired.

    RP thursday though (60mile round trip) so not too worried....

    No, I've put the round trip in.

    Cheeky, I know but if I don't cycle home tonight then it means I've got much, much bigger things to be concerned with than my stats.

    I can't make the trip any shorter, so if I go further, which is very rare, I'll top it up tomorrow.

    I'm in.
    The above is a post in a forum on the Intertubes, and should be taken with the appropriate amount of seriousness.
