On Lawmans recommendation, hopefully they'll fit, if not I'll order some Trailskins:

Plus some grease, if it's good enough for Hope, it's good enough for me:

Loving mine still, I'm actually considering wearing them on my ride into work, rather buy leg warmers or tights!

    And a new chain.

Been saving for fapping ages, should finish off the 456 nicely!

Ordered the last few bits for my new wheels, the front came out a little under the calculated weight, still to build the rear, a sub 1450g wheelset (all new parts) for a total of less than £180 seems pretty good to me.

A2Z front hub, Novatec 772 rear, Sapim comp double butted spokes, DT Swiss alloy nipples (2 blue Sapim per wheel to highlight the valve) holding the Stans Alpine rims in place.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

A fine choice! Can't wait to fit my new one to the Cotic next weekend!

Its just missing the crawler gear for steep climbs, other than that, I'm proper loving the 456 atm. Haven't moved the canyon for about a month, so it can stay tucked away for winter now I think.

Was going to get a superstar expander ring thing, but they have no ETA as yet and I want it now! Superstars will be £30!

I'm waiting for the superstar one before going 1x10 on the trance, can't justify a more expensive option as I'll have to change the cassette that's almost new at the same time.

Yeah same, I got the cassette a month or so ago, before Superstar announced anything. If I needed more parts I'd wait, but I've already got the 10sp gear and its already 1x10.

I did want a purple ring though :(

Yet more purchases from me

    A1-Helmet-Cyclops-Gloss-Silver-Metal-Flake.png

Another Troy Lee A1, firstly because it's the colour I originally wanted but couldn't get and secondly because they're dirt cheap on CRC (£53) and it seemed foolish not to!

    http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/product- ... -78715.jpg

Also got a 36t Raceface N/W chainring from work, with the T-Rex going on the Cotic I've gone for abit of extra top end speed without sacrificing the lower end :)

Also got an XT chain and will be returning the SLX I got last week. Thought I'd have all the bits I needed so got the SLX as we didn't have XT's at the time, but as I didn't have them all I thought I may as well get the XT chain.

Urge All Mountain helmet from CRC for £36 plus some cash back.

I'm still in a cast with my broken elbow. This may not get used for a while.
  • New 661 lid, £56 through chain reaction. They've got a decent returns policy should the color/size not work in the flesh, oh some sealskinz and Endura MT500 overshoes. :D

  • I said I'd post some footage from the cheapie GoPro, so here it is. Apologies for the shite riding, awful editing and general mundane ness but it gives an idea of the quality, though it's not as good on Vimeo as on the laptop!

Had this lot in my CRC wishlist for months… decided it was finally time to buy it.

    2mq6vlz.png

I don’t actually need any of it right now, but no harm in having the stuff in my toolbox ready for a future overhaul.

No bearing kit listed as they’re always cheaper on eBay.

A few more bits and bobs for me this week, got absolutely soaked and caked in mud at the weekend on the BFe so I've finally relented and got some Mucky Nutz mudguards, an XL fender bender and a butt fender as well. Should hopefully keep a bit more crap off me!

I Hadn't planned on changing anything on the Ibis, but then I got an astonishing deal on a pair of these that I just couldn't refuse!

2014 26" Fox 34 Float 150's, top of the line CTD adjust with the Kashima coating. Might not be as good as pikes but for the price I got them for I couldn't care less, they'll be stiffer than my 32's and should be just as well damped so looking forward to giving them a good thrashing! :D

Pretty good quality for the cheapie.

Some of those tall stumps look like an accident waiting to happen as it makes it look you can cut the corner and run them under the bars. Assume they are taller than they look.

Working in the industry is both a blessing and a curse, as I've recently found out! Parts are so much cheaper but I'm consequently buying more stuff because it looks like a good deal! Some crazy bargains to be found, I paid £235 for the Fox 34's on the previous page, they should £900!

I kerp seeing this in the cash and carry for 15 squid ;) I love rum but not tried this? Hows it stack up?

  • Havn't tried it but seen alot of good reviews on a couple of sites so was always tempted. Bit pricey at normal retail price but well worth a poke with the deal.

Also keeping an eye out for this if it comes up on the deals. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Red-Leg-Spiced- ... ed+leg+rum
Loads of good reviews on other booze sites as well. A few people said to try a "hot rum slap" which is half apple juice and half ginger beer warmed up, 15ml cinnamon gomme (cinnamon flavoured sugar syrup I think) and 25ml Red Leg. Sounds like a good post ride winter warmer

Kraken is a very nice rum, but it's not the nicest. Still a good price, very tempted myself.

I have a KS Lev, which I love. I cannot ride my bike as my broken elbow is still healing.

I have bought a reverb, just in case the Lev breaks again.

    £101 from Canyon. I couldn't say no.
