A spare set of Fox Launch Enduro knee pads, loved my first pair so got another set just in case I need them, had too many rides where my pads are still soaked from the day before!

Firstly, let us know how you get on with the Terraduro's, I really fancy a pair. And secondly, what's the actual pad like on the Launch Enduro's, my IXS Flow's have become really slippy downy so looking for something to replace them with.

Oh, and I ordered one of these to dip my toe into the GoPro world, just need a chest mount and memory card now:

It is, but it won't get any use till a week on Saturady at the earliest unfortunately. I'll stick a video up when I've got one.

First impressions of the terraduro are good, with none of the delamination issues report by BR. They seem pretty comfy and whilst stiffer than my MP66's they feel a lot lighter and just as comfy to walk around in. Think I need to wear them in a bit more before they fully match the comfort of the MP66's but I'm pleased with them so far.

As for the Launch Enduros they're basically a neoprene style sleeve with a decent amount of padding on, around 3-5mm and they're topped in tough kevlar-like material. I'm well impressed with my sets, they always stay in place and you hardly notice them when on the bike, I'll probably use them on rides to work when it gets proper cold, they're that light! Have taken some decent knocks though, so a big thumbs up from me :)

The £100 GoPro's are pretty swish too, selling like hot cakes in work atm, tempted by one myself so I can have one on the bike and keep my 3+ for my chest mount

Trying not to spend too much, but with so much nice kit hanging around I'm finding it difficult! Massively tempted by the Fox Waterproof Jacket to match the shorts, but that'll probably have to wait a while.

A new Garmin cadence sensor. Looks much more plush than the old sensor and fits on the inside of the crank.

Cheers Lawman, I'll probably get a pair of Terraduro's in the new year, won't be long till the winter boots are out so no point in spunking over £100 in the run up to Christmas.

However, rekon I'm going to order some of the knee pads as no one locally stocks them, hopefully have them by the weekend.

I think they're all pretty much the same to be honest as they will all be modelled on the same one that was sneaked out of GoPro factory :)

I just went for the one that offered fastest postage.

Cheers, just ordered one that should be here Wednesday, cost a whole £6. Also order a 32gb card that should be here for the weekend hopefully.

Oh, and I'm not sure what reconsiderations in the sentence was supposed to mean, dam phone auto text!

Ordered a few bits and bobs to brighten the BFe up for winter

    0044254_hope_t_rex_ratio_expander_sprocket_40t.jpeg

    1836059_1.jpg

Hope T-rex and a 16t xt sprocket, probably going to get a bigger 36 or 38t chainring as well, I mainly use it at home in the midlands and higher gears would be good for more speed on the flat

    HHG001GR.jpg?w=430&h=430&a=7

Some Hope lock on grips, been wanting to try these for a little while and I'm still going through a bit of experimentation phase with grips just to see what works best.

    5751_shimano_hg74_slx_10_hgx_speed_chain.jpg

    Shimano-XTR-M980-Bottom-Bracket-Cups-Bottom-Brackets-BB93B.jpg?w=800&h=800&a=7

Finally an xtr bottom bracket and an slx chain, current bb is a bit graunchy and I've been well impressed with the xtr bb on the Ibis.

The estate takes bikes easier though!

Just ordered a new Novatec 772 rear hub (269g claimed with a still strip on the freehub to reduce sprocket damage) to finish off my new wheelset, once it's measured up I'll get the spokes ordered as well.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

I'm considering ditching the dull as ditchwater Audi for an estate one of those, or a 3l. Economy is a secondary consideration as it does less than 5,000 miles pa. Just need to check out the legroom as the kids are bloody long. They do seem to be a lot of car for the money.
Unfortunately nowhere near being able to afford an XF estate.
  • They are an awful lot of car for the money. I'm in a similar position where economy is pretty irrelevant due to very low mileage. They're not horrendous or anything, but they're certainly not what you'd call economical. Oh, and they throw out a ridiculous amount of Co2 as well, if you're one of those tree hugger types who gives a shlt.

This one has been dealer serviced every year (approx 3,000 miles per year) and has never needed anything doing.

Leg room, it's not terrible, but it's not as much as you might think to look at them from the outside. Not had any adults in the back yet but there is plenty of room for my kids and the hound without having my seat kicked (I have the seat almost all the way back).

Factor in the price of a Thule* rack though because there is no way a bike is going in there.
