Very nice, we keep promising to do something like that ourselves.
You could be really make her night and tell her that to save her a bit of time and agg doing her make up you can drink a bit more to compensate. I'm sure she'll really appreciate such a selfless act. It can't fail.

Ha! I might try that one.

Finding, charging and assembling my Hope lights and discovering that they work again, having previously given up on them for completely failing to charge/switch on last winter. I don't understand electrickery.

Some of you may remember my watch rant here.

Today I went back to the shop in the hope they had a replacement screw, fully expecting to have to pay for the repair as even though the watch didn't work when bought I essentially broke the warranty by opening it up myself.

I walked out with a replacement watch :D

Most excellent customer service from Watch Station in Livingston. I am a very very happy customer.

I just noticed your signature. I wasn't previously aware that SCR-specific bikes were available. I'm sure it has been noted before, but it's new to me and now I want one.

That's dead cute. And the fleas stay on the hedgehog so I wouldn't worry.

Pangolin - I always thought your avatar was a pig, but now I'm not sure if you're a pig or a hedgehog.

Saw a pangolin on tv the other day. Wasn't on a bike. They're pretty cool with their prehensile tails.

I'd love it if it was, but it's shamelessly pinched from B3ta, where most funny pictures originate.

Anyone else spotted the Pangolin art gallery up round the back of Kings Cross, in that new building with the wavy glass front.

  • In contrast to the other dire November tales: the fog this morning was bad all over and I was very grateful for the extra bright lights I'm running at the moment, but me and my mate caught a golden moment again.

They've shut a 2 mile stretch of road again for resurfacing, but a quick chat with the foreman means we can get through (walking for a couple of hundred yards) so we're cycling down a stretch of NSL road with NO traffic and the Sun breaks through the fog.

My God, it was breath-taking - the low Sun was shining through multiple layers of mist and fog and lighting up the fields all around us. No traffic, no noise, just the quiet hum of the tyres on the road and us riding down the middle of the it taking it all in.

    Glorious.

So, it appears that sitting on a hard barely padded saddle for 10 hours each week hasn't made me infertile.

And if okgo reads this; don't mention anything on FB please.

I'd expected lots of practice due to age and cycling, but no such luck with our second - 1 shot deal!
