Piers Morgan being brought down a peg or two by Bradley Wiggins.

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

One of the classics that was never broadcast for the Uxbridge English Dictionary:
Countryside; The murder of Piers Morgan.

It was definitely broadcast. In fact I have it on tape somewhere.

    Tim Brooke-Taylor wasn't it?

I'll back that up. Definitely heard it go out.

Not as good as Jack Dee announcing "Samatha's colleagues in the record library have been encouraging her to apply for more senior positions, in an attempt to show that women can progress up the career ladder. She says it's nice that they want her to succeed and that it's not for any personal gain that they're supporting her. They'd just like to see her crack up through the glass ceiling."

Cue mayhem, then Dee shouting "defibrillator for Barry please".

Top programme, better than it was, with Jack Dee in charge.

Stephen Fry. I tried (and failed) to claim it as my own on another thread. :D

I stand corrected. A customer was at the recording and reckoned it was never broadcast.

Piers Morgan isn't really in a position to preach. I'm not sure how patriotic it is to use your newspaper to print fake 'abuse' photos that put British troops in danger....

But apparently he was moaning at people for being taken in by a fake (the "wiggins" tweet), so irony has died a death.

I rode my 2,000th mile to work this year this morning. It didn't rain, it wasn't windy, and nobody tried to knock me off/slap my bum/ask me to sit on their face. So, the perfect commute! :D

Lovely ride in, it's sunny. Oh, and I'm off on holiday for a fortnight tomorrow.
  • nice weather for this weekend which is nice since planning a Birthday ride to BoxHill (ie before the speed bumps!) and Sunday I seem to be going to watch the Olympic MTBing which is a lovely surprise!

I went for a very promising ride at the weekend. Managed over 15 miles and my knee* was still okay when I got home.

I was doing some HR zone 'training', so keeping my HR fairly low, which meant I wasn't pushing hard. That probably helped, but it's definitely improving. I might be back on for a commute soon :D

Just in time too, someone's nicked one of my KoMs

*The case of the f*cked up knee has been with the police's 'decision panel' for over a month while they decide if driving straight into someone in broad daylight is a good idea or not.

After weeks of secret practice, The Mighty Pickle turned to her Mother and in a clear voice requested some aid with the task she was trying to accomplish by saying 'Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope'.

    Jackpot.

Her next trick is going to be telling mummy when she thinks the shopping trolley is full by telling her that we need a bigger boat.

Heh. When you say secret practice, do you mean you cached her, or that she came out with it spontaneously?
