had day off and was a nice day so took the MTB to Avebury and take the ridgeway to the Uffington Horse.
a lovely spin, though the ridgeway near Avebury is very rutted and generally in bad shape from the 4x4's.0 -

Email today from C2W provider statingTherefore, you may be able to take ownership of the cycle without making any further payments or paying any additional tax
I take that to mean that when the 13th payment, paid 4 weekly, is made, the bike is mine with no FVP.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0 -

I think with the C2W schemes, your employer technically owns the bike and its up to them to decide if you need to pay anything more for it. Although i've never heard of any employer asking for more money.0 -

5,000km before the halfway mark of the year. 10,000km in 2015 should be achievable barring injury. That's more than I used to drive, even back in the states.0

Nice one! Today I broke the 10K Imperial total for commuting, but it's taken me four years, thanks to a short commute (6 e/w) for all but the last 6 months.Location: ciderspace0 -
Went to a friends last night to help her fit her new Fulcrum Racing 3 wheels. Stupidly forgot my cassette tool.
Popped down to her lbs (she's just moved to Clapham Junction, so not visited the shop before). They swapped over the cassette for us, with a free spacer that was needed and didn't charge. Walked a minute down the road and realised we also needed some rime tape. We walked back and asked to buy some rim tape, which they also gave us for free.
I know it was only a minute's work and the rim tape is sold for peanuts, but still it was nice, they were friendly chaps and cracked a few jokes too. Cycle PS in Battersea High Street we salute you!0 -

Completed my first century today doing the Great Notts Bike Ride.
I originally thought I could do it in less than 6 hours, but realised in the week that would be too much so aimed for 6hours 30.
Completed it in 6 hours and a minute!
I hurt now though!0 -

I was there myself - Really slow this year, lack of preparation and that awful wind combined to break me
Still, I'm going to have to upload the video of got of the guy turning onto the 100 mile circuit at East Bridgeford riding a fat bike (!) I kept meeting up with him at feed stops and last saw him at about 80 miles stopped at the side of the road. He looked a bit broken.Chunky Cyclists need your love too! :-)

I didn't read the embedded quote of Kieran's post correctly so I thought the thread read like this; I was confused and a bit disturbed0 -

I don't think I could have done it anywhere near 6 hours on my, now, old bike. I was so grateful I had my new bike!
I managed to be in a group for a fair distance near the start which helped, did the first 50 miles in 2 and a half hours.
The wind between the two feed stops was horrendous!
I think I saw the guy you mean (there can't have been that many could there?!) at the start, I think there were a couple together! Wouldn't even dream of trying it!0 -

PB yesterday on a 10 mile TT.
Lovely commute in this morning. Beautiful weather, no counts of attempted murder by wvm, bus drivers, cabbies or anyone else, minimum nodders in front at lights and some scalps through RP
The sort of morning that makes me glad to ride.Fat chopper. Some racing. Some testing. Some crashing.
