Glad you're getting out, but probably not as glad as you are. Presumably no pictures of lovely nurses as you would have been in trouble with the Mrs.
    Heal fast.

Thanks. I have pictures of the mess that is my face, but I think I will spare you all that!

There is a good chance my nose will be straighter than it was before.

The only offer of help washing I had was from a rather camp sounding male HCA. Luckily I could wash myself.

Not ridden since last Friday .... other commitments prevented me riding since

but back on the bike this morning .... ok - speed isn't there, but it was a lovely spin and nice to be out of the car!
  • Good honest ride this morning. No wind to speak of, bit of sun but not too hot. Just body and bike working away, no excuses.

Popped a spoke with my awesome power this morning.

I dunno, I guess this could kinda be a rant, but I'm taking it as a positive.

Rule #9 // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.
Rule #12 // The correct number of bikes to own is n+1.
Rule #42 // A bike race shall never be preceded with a swim and/or followed by a run.

Went into side of a van that pulled out of a side road last Tuesday. 4 days in St George's with a mushed up face and 2 stable fractures in the vertebrae. Bike looks ok but has not been properly looked at. :)

Bloody hell. Please select a preferred response:

    Did you d-lock the cnut?

Never mind, you've still got your looks.

That sounds simply awful, are you using your healing crystals? Can you align your chakras?

    Absolute barsteward. Did they stop?

Which bike? Not the good one?!

In all seriousness, good luck. That kind of stuff can haunt you in many, many ways. Heal up, take care.

He can use that picture and say the stress of the accident has aged him dramatically and claim for it.

Only £3 for me but adds to the other £65 I've won with my online tickets since November, a quick approximation means I've had close to £200 in total since November from them.

Was a "Lead Bike Kiltie" at the Aberdeen charity Kiltwalk yesterday. This was my longest ride ever, and certainly the longest in the saddle (almost six hours). Cycled to and from the event, and other parts were then at walking speed going along with the walkers, then cycling up and down the line checking people are ok and giving them encouragement etc. - my ride https://www.strava.com/activities/320487820/

Anti-rant because it was a great day out, the walkers were brill, and I also feel great today - no significant aches and pains at all! Yay! :)
