    Right.

    I'm seriously f*cked off.

Was en route a freakin' awesome PB that would have assured me the club TT handicap championship. I was 12 seconds up at the turnaround and was facing a slight tailwind on the way back. Happy days. When my saddle fell off.

Never been as frustrated/upset/angry/disappointed in my life. And I've had a lot of sh1tty disappointments.

My club take an age to update the results to so I probably won't know the overall results until next week.

    :x :x :x :x

I would have thrown my bike Millar style if I hadn't been borrowing one of S_Bezza's wheels.

Feel like the last few months have been completely wasted.

As I said before you left last night, you will have a good chance at it next year as well with how you are improving. Wait for the results as well, you never know what will have happened. Paul B went 1 sec slower than his PB, so that is at least 2 riders who did better that your rival last night. You just need 2 more.

Even if you do finish 2nd, its a fantastic effort compared to where you were last year. You have just come back from a major leg fracture and you are breaking into the top performers in the club 10's every week - that's pretty good going and should give you lots of satisfaction!

Unfortunately Paul B doesn't count as he is not a 1st claim member :c

Bronzie, I can't see your pic as I'm at work! I'll have a look when I get home...

I had a quarter pounder with cheese from the golden arches today to sellibrait.

Looking forward to some unstructured rides out and about and even on my MTB!

Then back to it for next year.

    Cheers mate!

The MTB will be coming out this Friday...

Got a couple of hill climbs I'm doing for social reasons, will be incredibly uncompetitive after about 4 weeks of barely training and eating/drinking loads but I'm not in the least bit ar5ed, it's just for fun.

Then starts the training for next year, but I may see if I can blag a CycloX bike on C2W!!

Club Hill Climb tonight on a rather steep (but short) hill.

I will be so far from remotely competitive that I have a surprise, erm, 'outfit' I'm wearing!

Were you actually trying? Surely you'd not have time to go one handed?

Is that climb going up to the car park at the top of this peak before you dip down into the Goyt Valley past the resa?

I think it was about 7 mins, I was going hard but not flat out. Although at a couple of points my HR was rather higher than I wanted it to be and I thought my eyes were going to pop!!

Bit warm in all that gear too!

what did your 1 day detox involve?

loads of veg and about 4 litres of water.
    That's not detox, that's a normal diet!

I went (near-) veggie over 20 years ago and haven't regretted it. I still eat fish about twice a week, but apart from that it's veggie.

A mate told me how long it can take for a big steak to be properly digested and it made me feel quite queasy to think of it.

I don't need to swallow a high-tech tracer capsule to measure my digestive transit time - the 'sweetcorn test' tells me it is typically sub-12 hour!

Colin, I'm not going to go in to detail seeing as I paid a nutritionist but that's a very broad summary...

There's a lot more to it than that.
