Just a quick question re:- the Roval wheels, did you carry out the rear bolt thru conversion and if you did how did you do it?

    Sweet ride!

hi its not a thru bolt. its a dt rws skewer. lot stiffer than a normal qr in my opinion

Ahhh, nice one. It's just I was looking into doing a 10mm thru conversion on a Roval hub, funnily enough I was planning on using the 9/10mm RWS thru axles. Was it you who did the front 9mm bolt thru axle conversion? I can vaguely remember a thread about drilling out the end caps.

I could be getting mixed up as you have a Fox 15mm QR  .

Thanks anyway, apparently DT 240 hubs use the same internals I was planning on using the axle out of one of those but wanted confirmation that it would work.

How are you finding the Airotors?

I fitted some a while back but had some problems with warping, apparently I was running them the wrong way. It has since come to light that Ashima changed their minds as to the best way to run them.

Looking at yours it appears you are running them in the correct/revised configuration.

the front rotor is running through a moto v2 caliper no problems. if that doesnt warp it then i guess not much will. finding the rotors great and are actually lighter than stated.
let me know if you can convert the rear

just changed my saddle for a karbona carbon rail/shell and saved 60grams also swapped the pedals for a pair of crank bros eggbeater sl,s with ti spindles. and ive changed the front brake caliper from the moto v2 to a mono m4 as the v2 was too big for the rotors i have fitted. these little changes have saved nearly half a pound and still the bike feels solid beneath me. will post updated pics when its a bit brighter outside
only bits i can really change now to make it lighter without sacrificing strength would be the stem and cassette which would bring the bikes weight down to 21lbs

Good effort though, 21lbs is WELL light for what it is.

just decided to add coloured bore caps to my brakes and im torn between red and gold :?: although i could have a red and gold on the m4 and red on the mono but im also on the verge of fitting red goodridge hoses with gold fittings so i may go with just red along with a pair of gold north shore billet brake mount adapters perhaps :?: :?: :?: :?:

ok i have just fitted the red goodridge hoses with gold fittings and a set of red jagwire gear outers. not sure if i have done the right thing but as it took me ages to fit them theyre staying. also finished the girlfriends orange p7 yesterday and considering ive built it out of bit and bobs i had lying around i reckon it looks pretty damn good . i will upload some pics once ive woken up :)

why thankyou oh cheesey one altohough i know what you and the others are thinking ............... why doesnt pastey get some uber pimp wheels to finish his bike off ? ....... the fitted rovals are superb wheels in every department apart from the most important ....... aesthetics, so im going to get some colourful hoops sorted. they need to be tubeless, 15mm front axle, light as fook with enough strength to carry 16-17 stones. the new easton havens look nice but a bit plain. crank bros could be an option or i9-stans combo possibly. i will stimulate my pimp gland and try to find the ideal wheels

what about some sort of custom build from CRC with Either DT or King hubs, and some tasty rims from Spank?

    (depending on budget of course)

I9 Enduros are about an 11.5/10 on the bling scale. (not a fan of the crank bros wheels if I'm honest)

might just get a pair of this years roval traversees. they have gloss black rims and hubs with red nipples and end caps. look very nice and i know they work ,not in any great hurry i will just wait until they are reduced. just been having another look at the easton havens as well and i reckon they might just work if i remove the decals of have custom coloured ones in their place
also ive just ordered some digital scales for bike weighing purposes

got and official weight for my bike today 21.8lbs. pretty pleased with that. i could go alot lighter by swapping forks, wheels, stem, tyres etc etc but i would lose the strength i have in the bike

just buy one. i started out with one which i loved the i got caught up in all the hype and spent a fortune trying to find the perfect bike (for me) until i eventually ended up where i started. if you do get one make sure you get a titanium seatpost as it irons out the trail nicely without as much flex as a carbon post

ok i got bored and change some more bits as i had been neglecting my enigma bit and spending time with my road bike but i cheered enigma up with a new set of ota cnc gear cables a new 0ne23 cnc 38t black/silver chainring and a xtr front mech (the old one with the articulating alloy cage 111grams) so the whole bike is slightly lighter now. on the new wheel front im gonna hold on and wait for the many carbon rims that are due soon. pics below

yes im very happy its light it handles great with the 120mm fox,s on. enigma state the frame should use 100mm forks but the fox,s are only 3mm longer than the original reba 100,s i had fitted. its one of them bikes that just feel right. if i ever manage to break it i will get another
