    eh?

Beer in moderation ... is a waste of beer

then riding a rigid singlespeed is like licking it
... or being punched by it, depending on the day

So after 182 posts what have we learned?

Possibly that off topic advice is a lot more contentious than advice about the humble bicycle...

Oh and something called a PPL cost £6000

I asked for ideas, and experience, not realy advice. I seem to have got a few ideas that I hadn't thought of, so IMO, this thread has worked.

Its also been quite entertaining... :D

It has been quite entertaining, generated more heat than light though I would say.

For what its worth the little Panda 4x4 looks like a great little car.

    Oh don't worry.....
  • Much as I'm happy with the current Cakemobile (Subaru Legacy Outback), I'm having a few issues driving as I'm suffering from "Frozen Shoulder". Now easy as the Cakemobile is to drive, Mrs C won't drive it as she say's its too big (Oooh er matron).

So, I'm considering getting something a bit smaller for the next year or so. Currently looking at VW Golf sized cars. Specifically, surprisingly enough, Golfs.

Anyone got any experience with the VR6 4Motion's or R32's? I'll still need 4wd and a decent sized engine as my carrying requirements hopefully won't change.

Also, any other suggestions? (Surf-Matt, just to save you the bother, we've already discounted the BMW 3 series estate... )

What about a late model last gen Subaru Forester? Bulletproof and they do one with a 2 litre turbo.

Whatever - does it matter? Is it really worth highlighting? No. It just makes you look silly.

The only "higher" Touring is the M5 version which does 10mpg and has a cr4p gearbox.

The M-Sport version of the 335d is higher spec

Matt what do you do for a living? I must admit I am quite envious of your lifestyle, you seem to have plenty of money, nice cars, live in a great place and get to go surfing and biking regularly

You take a lot of flak on here and I suspect most of it is because of this. People can be very jealous.

Hmm, I doubt it is because the collective people are jealous El Loco Pollo, it is the way Matt brings about this 'information' as it were, he spreads it around in an utmost arrogant and elitist manner. Innit.

Good suggestion, however already discounted as being too big.

no, because if the OP hasn't chosen a car after 6 months, he's still not desperate enough to choose a Yeti.
