I've just been looking at the new photos of the trail in my local woods....roll on may 15th, it's gonna be fun...even the over 1foot drop on it will be good ( meaning I'll be off and walking again lol)

Hells bells stumpym4.........that looks real nasty...hope you ok bud.

I purchased a set of 661 knee pads a fortnight ago, after riding llandegla without any and looking back at the trail obstacles etc i thought if i had come off i would have had a nasty injury, this prompted me to get some, am glad now and will feel much safer riding with them on.

When i rode llandegla the thought of coming off and doing myself an injury was in my mind whilst riding and probably held me back a little at times.

I will now feel safer and let rip a bit more on the trails in future.......

Whereas me in my shiny new knee/shin combo type affair rode the rocky bits with the type of confidence I've not shown for a good few years.

    Evenin all.

Well just saved myself some money as i've just serviced my rear shock and saved about £60 to £100, so i hope it's now ok.

Just one last thing after watching the dalby world cup on tv i now wish i'd signed up for the dalby dare

Mick, what rear shock you running?

I must have missed that one then, she's still showing as confirmed on the FB event page and I need to know if she's available for the June ride before I confirm the details (only fair as it was she who suggested it). I'll give it a few more days and then I'll confirm it anyway if I've not heard owt.

Rich, Sorry I can't make Cannock now unfortunately (or fortunately as the case may be), as my Sis has organised a surprise weekend for my Birthday & just happens to be that weekend. So will have to miss out this time but up for a ride soon. Cheers Lynn

not sure today, the weather is a bit iffy, might take a cough cough 'recovery day' cough cough
might go tomorrow, the forecast is slightly better
if i go today it will be the monkey or the last stage of ftd, tomorrow on the other hand i have two options, go with a group and do mainly fireroads or go on my own and do the monkey or ftd end again

not been on the bike since friday and im itching to get out, yesterday i felt half dead from riding alot this week, today i seem to have recovered

i keep looking at the weather forecast then saying to myself, you know these forecasts aren't that accurate. then i had the completely bonkers brainwave of making a website that forecasts the previous days weather, but to be fair on the other 'normal' weather sites i would endeavour to make it not 100% accurate

    you up to anything interesting

No riding for me today...':('.......have to do some work at my mums house or i'll get mithered.

Tomorrow am fixing a friends brakes on his bike....have had to make up a bleed kit as its a non branded make with no kit available for it....so got 2 syringes, 2 of the old type flexible adapters for bike pumps which i have to take the threaded ends off and rethread to m5 with 2 lenghts of piping, aquarium pipe clamps and away we go....i told him to get some decent branded brakes which he may well do in the future, but he can't ride long or hilly routes cos of his diabetes......a few years ago he was good but now he's had to tone his riding down.
