I'm going to Rivington on Monday if we can borrow my Dads car, the exhaust has come apart on ours and it sounds like a hothatch with 50% less power lol

yeah some bits are breaking up quite bad, i know of one downhill berm that started developing a hole in it near the top, but this has turned into a small drop off now, you can still get around it without doing the drop off though

other than that, its mainly breaking bumps on the moneky and some edges of trail being eroded on the last section of ftd

I take it it's due to the recent dry spell we've had.....maybe the rain forecasted for this w/end may help ?

Gisburn had the same probs on the Hully Gully section, it got ripped up coz of the high traffic.

If this is happening at cannock then it won't be the only place suffering either...never mind eh.
I know the cheshire lines route i ride not far from my home is also very dry and the ruts from the winter are like mini valleys now. i rode down there earlier on in the week and 4 guys riding a quadbike and 3 motocrossers flew past me at around 60mph......the result was a big cloud of dust that ended up with me covered in dust and spluttering like an old banger!!!! plus they went past me within about 4 feet !!!!!!!....... buggers.

Cant recommend knee pads enough lol. When I had my little off I still managed to bash my knee pretty good, cant imagine what it would have looked like without pads across those stones!

Hells bells stumpym4.........that looks real nasty...hope you ok bud.

I purchased a set of 661 knee pads a fortnight ago, after riding llandegla without any and looking back at the trail obstacles etc i thought if i had come off i would have had a nasty injury, this prompted me to get some, am glad now and will feel much safer riding with them on.

When i rode llandegla the thought of coming off and doing myself an injury was in my mind whilst riding and probably held me back a little at times.

I will now feel safer and let rip a bit more on the trails in future.......

i'm so glad i got some knee pads, just got to get some elbow pads now.

Well just saved myself some money as i've just serviced my rear shock and saved about £60 to £100, so i hope it's now ok.

Just one last thing after watching the dalby world cup on tv i now wish i'd signed up for the dalby dare

Was at Cannock this morning with Tammy. Rode the Monkey trail for the first time. It was lots of fun with a fair bit of climbing. Tammy had a bit of a comedy fall at the werewolf drop. Slipped over whilst CARRYING her bike down. She saw the funny side and no damage done. Will post a video up soon.
Might go back for another go next Saturday AND really looking forward to the ride on the 15th
