sounds like what i would of been doing as i would'nt fancy doing that climb up twice it's just goes on and on

It seemed like a good idea to do it twice and it was great on the downhills but christ am I feeling it now!

Thanks for another great day - I still can't believe how lucky we were with the weather.

And (sorry forgot his name) falling in the stream was definitely the funny moment of the day!

Possible Cannock for next trip, not sure though, Cannock has been bandied about the most, it's quite central for everyone to get to.

It was a good day , shame I was Mrs Slowarse again though lol.

i enjoyed myself today and even did one of the black loops ':shock:' in the middle of the red somewhere.

Hit what i thought was a double set of humps at speed (whoosh) and then realised it was a triple set, jumped the first two but the third nearly had me off.........

I hope the newcomers to the group had a good time and will ride with us all again.

Can't wait for the next ride.

P.s. Caz....i don't know what i did wrong with cam but nothing was recorded...''
Anyhow have been playing with it at home and have got it sussed.

let me get this straight that's two rides and two falls into water (starts to have concerns about the stream crossing at cannock)

if the next oragnised ride turn's out to be cannock i'll try my best to make it.

i'm of there on the 20th april just after the new route's opened.

went to cannock early this year and did the follow the dog route but i'll have to admit i'd prefered the route at sherwood pines to that as i thought it was a bit short even if the sherwood one is not much longer.

Also did'nt think the cafe was much good compared to some i've been to.

How you feeling ?

We had a few 'newbies' to the group today, Sandomingo (who i picked up on the way thru) cracking bloke who had been before and knew his way round, Hikerbiker, a lovely lass who kept the pace up for some of us !!!!, and another guy but i cant remember his name..':roll:'

The weather was fantastic and made the day completely,, the group turnout was around maybe 12 peeps in all (i may be corrected on this figure yet)

The ride itself was a usual mixture of ups and downs with many of us managing to ride up quite a lot of the ups including myself..':shock:' Of course that doesn't include the double steep section....':oops:'
The downhills were bloody fantastic, a mixture of berms, boulder strewn tracks, a few muddy sections but completely rideable,

We only had one 'mechanical' which was a rear flat and a few of us helped out inc; me and got him on his way but around 5-10 mins later we arivved back at the start, little did we realise how close to the end that puncture came. (bloody typical huh)

I provided the laugh of the day as we were waiting for the 'backmarkers' to catch up, we were stood either side of the trail with a stream behind me and we let a few other riders thru, unwittingly my foot slipped down the little embankment and in i fell, much to everyone's amusement, i know piccies were taken at this point and no doubt they will appear !!!!

All in all a really good day out and applause to all who turned up.

Oh noooooo my vids came out poo due to the 2 screws holding the camera bracket on coming loose, the footage is shockingly wobbly

I didn't even know you'd been for a swim til we got back to the centre ...was a nice day for a dip anyway

feeling a little better thanks
on the other hand I had a look at my bike today (id noticed the back wheel wasnt spinning right whenI put It together the other day) I had damaged the spring in the brake pads putting the wheel back in
I took the pads out to have a better look, only to discover that the majority of my pads were bare metal

so if id gone today I would ot been riding with no back brakes and woudn't of know until I needed them
