m53 to A55 then the A483 towards Wrexham then we join onto the A525 towards Coedpoeth and keep going on the A525 we find that the quickest route

I'm a god navigator, I just go the scenic route

I've been like that the last few days. I'm getting my stuff together and am going to see how I feel in the morning.

How is is likely to compare to the Ladybower ride? How long, far, likely finish time etc?

Compared to Ladybower, it's less uphill and a bit faster as in things come up to you quicker, it's easily ridden the ones who went to Ladybower, it's nowhere near as techy either...it's just a damn rollicking big playground :D

Certainly not as long and not as steep and rough goin the ups thats for sure.

If i remember rightly the red run is about 11 miles long so x2 with a break in between for bagging and maybe a play in the skills area.

I just checked out the website and the red's 11 miles, the black, 13 miles and the blue, 7 miles.

I'm just thinking with me feeling a bit rough I could probably either do the blue then see how I go or just do the red once.

The only doubt I have in my mind is a friend of mine severely broke his collar bone at Llandegla and I have very very littly experience.

I am only doing the red once and I am the crappest, most scared rider of the lot, so you'll not be left behind, and there are parts where you can hop on to the blue from the red, or from the black to red if you fancy doing the black.:D

Dan you will be ok......just follow the flow of the trail and keep yer speed in check and if you do fall off don't put yer arms out to save you (that's how broken collar bones are done).....curl yerself up as you fall.

But having said all that i don't expect you to fall if you take it easy, just go at your safest pace.....

From what I can gather he had an attack of the bravado and went over a jump. I think he half bottled it and may have braked with his front brake or something. From what he said, even if you do the black run you can choose to go over or avoid the jumps.

Thats right.......you can stop and look at the jumps to see if it's doo-able and then take your pick, but from what i've heard and seen on you tube all the jumps are rollable.

  • If you really do wait for the slowest rider, you had better take a good book. Is everyone meeting by the cafe?
