You have viewranger on yer fone don't you, could you copy one or several of your map tiles for me, i want to try something out, i'm guessing that you may store or upload the tiles to your pc before transferring to fone, if so could you stick em on a cd/dvd and send it to me bud.....Thanks.

Yeah well in that case get the software now while it's free, you don't have to buy the maps to download the software, although some not all have a trial period. i even know how to get round the trial period bit !!!!!!!

I think we all will, even people with gps enabled fones, well lets hope this goes through without too much of a delay.....you know how long it takes the government to do things, we could be grey and past it by the time they sort it....''

Oh yes i certainly hope so......it's about time too, there's too many things the government keep from us considering the vast amount of money the taxpayer ploughs into this country!!!!!

    FORWARD PLANNING.....

There was mention very early in this thread about doing Cut Gate in May. I wonder if people still fancy this and then Cannock in June.....?

I know those of you who have more time for riding are getting out a lot more often than this but for me, one away day a month is about my limit at the minute.

i was thinking that if you were doing cut gate in may then it would be cannock in june.
though i have reservations about cut gate, as its one of the 10 worst climbs in the country, so for at least half of us it will be long push up, then for some a long push down

yes i am thinking ahead to the cannock ride as well, putting trails on the list, then taking them off again, as i try to think what would be the most fun for the majority of people

I'm also looking at where is going to be the best place to park, yeah i know its early to do this but, i want to find somewhere that is safe for the cars, then a good location to access the trails and finally after a long days riding wont be to strenuous to get back to

I would be inclined to agree with you on the score with cut gate......i have just seen an elevation profile on cut gate path and it looks steeeeeeeeeeeeeeepppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can see the elevation profile on this link below, look between 'stage' 7 and 8 on the profile at bottom of page..............
