  • hi caz if you do manage to coax your hubby into taking you, let me know what day/time as i've been meaning to get back up there to have a go at the top half.

The man in the red jacket in the Gisburn vid is my mate who got killed :(

also would love to have another attempt at the rock drop in the second vid at the 7:50 mark

    OK, where's Gisburn?

Nice bike Mick, I'd gladly trade in the Spesh for one of those :)

I bet you can't fix yours to the bike with a stem/bar mount..........'' one to us.....

Our garmins have the cycle routes on as well.........''

And they are waterproof........heh heh !! two to us.......

you can fix them to a bar with a mount, you sent me a link for one

you can download cycle routes and maps for freee

and you can buy a boxit (if your theres one to fit your mobile) that provides a waterproof case and a bike mount

    :D

Boxit 5.0 small lid takes a Nokia N96 so there.

Gisburn is near to Clitheroe , well Slainburn/Tosside really, its well worth putting on the list of places for us all to go, I am supposed to be going to look at a campside in Tosside to see about a weekend there if it would be what anyone would fancy.

If not it's easly enouhg for a day play

    Mick,
It'll not be til after the 10th April before I get back there as I've got a chest cold that I'm trying to shift for Llandegla, but I will be sometime in April when I do get back there :D

78.2 miles according to google, could be interesting although it would have to be a weekend for me.

had a run out at llandegla a few weeks ago and believe me you will not be dissapointed

i done the red run with a couple of black sections and it was fantastic, just a few climbs that really took it out of me

dont forget to visit the cafe for your food, superb

have a great day and hopefully i will be able to come along but i am spare at work that weekend so it will be a late decision

any more info, just drop us a line
  • to Cheshley

i did have a specialized rockhopper comp disc before getting the trek had some fun with it but decided that a full suss would be more fun :D

    to sparrowlegs78

I'd be intrested in the weekend up at Gisburn if there's some intrest in it. It had been in the back of my mind about staying near to it for the weekend better than 1 1/2 hour drive to reach it

Secure bike storage within the barn itself. fitted kitchen and utensils etc

If any of you are interested lets sort out a weekend so i can book it as soon as poss.

We can do two days riding and its 5 mins ride from barn to the trails.

Here is the link to the barns website.....

I can't do anything from the 10th May when Richie is going in for his op, depends on how much he will actually sit at home and relax as to when I can play out again, the silly bugger wants t go back in wore a week after his op, I can see him bursting his stitches and being sidelined for a while if he won't behave lol

It's on it's way hun, bloody customs have got it I think, ours took a couple of weeks to arrive, If it's not arrived by Friday I'll give the bloke a prod to make sure he did send it.
We are waiting for about 4 things from Hong Kong, they are slooooooooow :(

Dragging back to topic for a min,
Would anyone fancy a day playing silly buggers at Lee Quarry and the area?.
It's techy stuff so its a play all day thing up there really.
Just thought I'd add it as a possible play date to the list
