Great ride on Saturday. Bloody hard work at times, great fun at other times. Thanks to all who helped make it an enjoyable day and to Mike for guiding.

    where next? :D
  • Just to add to Kevens64's comments above. Really enjoyed the ride Saturday (feeling it a bit today though) and as one of the noobie's felt welcomed into the group. Hopefully be able to join you again for the next ride. Anyone no how many feet we climbed in total ?

    Cheers

Our next outing on Sunday 28th August will see us return to Cannock Chase for the first group ride there this year.

Route information will be a closely guarded secret (in other words, Roo makes it up as we go along) and the meeting point will be confirmed closer the the day but expect the usual mix of long ups and grin inducing singletrack. It's sure to be a good one, it always is.

Meeting place for the Cannock ride is the Katyn Memorial.

The link below shows the location of Springslade Lodge at the junction of Camp Road and Slade Lane. There is a dirt road Opposite (off to the right as you look at the map) into the trees and the Memorial is a couple hundred yards up there on the left.

Link showing the car park: http://g.co/maps/cv2n

Meeting is the usual arrangement of 9.30 meet for a 10am start.

Anyone is free to join in. Usually get between 10 and 15 turning up but this is being run as a joint ride with some riders from Darn S'Arfff so there could be a good few more this time.

We are very much a mixed bunch of riders when it comes to fitness and skills, however the philosophy is very much about group riding, so we will wait at the top and bottom of each section for every body to catch up and will allow recovery time for the last rider before we set off again.

Keep in mind that i'm leading and i'm not super fit or blessed with riding god skills so it should be no problem for the average weekend rider.

I'll vouch for Mike (puddle-rider), great bunch to ride with, no-one gets left behind.

I cant make this one unfortunately but i guarantee you'll not be dissapointed if you join em.

Would really like to do this one, as not done Long Mynd before, but having spent last two days over at Cannock I will be A) in no physical shape to do it and B) in the dog house if I don't get summat done at home...

    Thread title change.....

Does what it says on the tin. Llandegla in North Wales, meeting at 9.30 for a 10am start from outside the cafe, play on the skills loop, puff and wheeze your way up the hill, have a go on the qualifier for Parallel Universe, enjoy the swoopy singletrack through the trees back to the Cafe, have a big chunk of cake and go do it all over again.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE CLOCKS GO BACK THE NIGHT BEFORE THIS RIDE!!!!!!!!!
