Was seriously trying to sort funds out to maybe make an appearance, but to no avail, my rear tyre just split which caused me to have a little incident which left my casette nice and bent :evil:0

Campsite booked, CYB here we come....now, which bike to take: 29er hardtail or full sus??
Not ridden the full sus since the Cannock group ride so might give that an outing.
Can't wait!0 -

Greedy bugger !!!!!!.....lol
On a more serious note........NOTIFICATION TO ALL......
Following on from a request by Dan Brocklehurst on facebook regarding riding at Lee quarry and Cragg quarry i have now got the gpx routes for a route that can be ridden around both quarries, including a link route offered up by Stuart. this would enable a route around 17-18km + to be made up with extensive riding around Lee quarry available to lenghten the overall mileage ridden.
I know Lee quarry has been mentioned a few times in the past therefore it does appeal to a few of you.
If any of you are interested lets hear it.
At the mo as most of you are aware the 'rough' riding is out for me because of my foot ulcer but am more than willing to prepare the route and be there on the day for food/drink support and for photography.
Let me know what you think guys...thanks Steve.2001 Cove Stiffee FR

Caz....if i put up the link route on here you can follow it and see what you think of it.....depending on what the specialist says on friday i'm off work on the 16th for a week and would do a gentle trundle with you down the link route with you if want.2001 Cove Stiffee FR

Ok, I have been lead to believe that it it a helluva climb up Rooley Moor cobbled road to get to Cragg....but it's all downhill getting back to Lee Quarry
Caz xxx0 -
On the gps link i have it only uses about half a kilometre of the Rooley moore road.....bear with me a minute and i'll put up a link so you can see the route ok.2001 Cove Stiffee FR

sounds good, it would sound even better if i could pronouce itwhat are brakes for again0

talking of routes for the weekend, i have been looking at the maps
the dragons back is most of the beast and looks good. now the parts of the beast that arnt included in the dragons back (black sections) are all in the mbr loop which might be an option for sunday if we fancy a ride then
james i was looking at the dragons back trails and thinking if we cut off here before the pink heifer and go back to the centre, that the small loop would be good for the friday. and it turns out that this loop is the same as the trail you mentioned so a thumbs up from me
in fact most of the trails there look to be made up from different parts of others with the exception of the tarw trail which is across the other side of the roadwhat are brakes for again0 -
