Just been browsing an Evans Cycles catalogue and for those people who aren't entered in the BHF Dark Peak Challenge Ride (it's on the same weekend), there is an Evans Cycles Ride It event at Cannock Chase on 9th October.

Just be aware that Mobile phone reception in the area is sketchy at best. Anywhere in the Upper Derwent Valley and you're pretty much on your own but once you get into the valley along which the A57 runs, you should be OK.1998 Marin Hawk Hill

Lee
Lee, some of the group are heading into the Peak District on Saturday and we have a group ride on the 27th in Shropshire around Long Mynd. If you're on Facebook check out the 'Slow Rides for Unfit People' group and you'll find all the planned rides have their own event page with details of when and where.

I am looking forward to the above descent.
this is the second desent we will be doing (the lockebrook one) its nice and long and one of my favorites, plus if we like it and have enough energy left there is a opportunity at the end of the ride to do it again
