I'm still feeling a little rough this morning. If I can't get dropped off I'll not be coming sorry. Gutted

Have a good time guys. :)

As predicted, I felt totally smashed this morning coming out of work. Bed for me. :(

I was going to come home the long way via the Cat and Fiddle to see the sun rise but it was -9c and descents in all directions. I couldn't feel my face after 30 seconds and my bottle of hot juice froze over in the first 2km.

Should be nice up there though. Clear skies. Incredible picturesque sunrise this morning. 8)
  • Well for the time I was there I had a good ride :) Thanks everyone

Made it home safely, still feeling sick-ish at the moment though.

the chaingang always kills me more than the race at lancaster too which is bizarre.

not really, racing isn't all about speed.

Thanks to everyone that came and congrats if you stuck it out and made it all the way around.

Thanks to NapD (Mr. Cervelo) for plotting us such an interesting route and for keeping everyone on track and together during theday.

Nice to see some new (and even the old) faces.

    Cheers all!
  • Thanks to all for the ride today - and even more thanks for the constant waiting for me! Hope none of you cooled down too much in those intervening 'moments'.

Great to meet a few faces and put them to names (well - avatars and forum names anyway).

Good luck to all for the season - stay safe and upright.

(BTW - we missed the turning at walker barn and went straight down to macc - waited a few minutes at the bottom in case we had overtaken the peloton then decided you were all still in front and pressed on for home)

Was a tough ride that, hope no one got p155ed off at me or thought I was rude always going miles off the front up those hills. I decided at the cafe stop to press on.

100.06 miles for me. Second century ride I've ever done in Manchester, maybe 3rd, so not bad pretty happy with that.

And despite what James (reddraggon) thinks, it's not my fault he got too tired, he was stirring it. I knew it'd happen.

    Good today.

    2 submissions
    2 falls
    1 knockout (puncture)

Fantastic weather and views and a good mixed group.

Glad I didn't have HR or Power today too, just went with the flow.

Went straight to the shop afterwards where they kindly removed the loose bag of spanners I was riding round with...

Where was these 2 falls/1 puncture? I never seen em, was it after the cafe stop?

Very low average power over the day. Lots of downhill sections too. Wasn't one for the record books.

Did over 80 miles myself and feel SPENT. I'm amazed you were pushing on as much as you did, especially after yesterday.

I think QuadPower™ might be back.

Who were you anyway? Was you the american one?
  • A fall on the top of axe edge? Surely not - I was just taking the opportunity to make a quick snow angel whilst you all caught up.

Yep, thanks from me too, particularly to the route plotter(s), and whoever organised the weather. It was a real joy to be out today. We must do it again sometime.

I see where it went wrong now just before the (closed) cafe stop...

We should have turned left just after the start of that gnarly descent thus missing the worst bit out

It is wrong on the route I plotted too. However, I blame Will's navigation skills...

    As for having the tickets:

I bet you would have them. And Jimmy Bullard says they wont hammer Hull!

Wish I had gone. Nothing like kicking a team when they are down.

And Purple Aki missed a penalty, what's all that about?!

Just a note to add my thanks to the the others already posted for sorting this guys. Some great scenery and a cracking day, apart from falling off in the car park before the start  & in a snow drift on Axe Edge. No damage done though.

Good luck in your next endeavours, Ron.
