If we're going to find a pub in SE London/Crystal Palace then suggest we pack our Kryptonite locks....personally I'd prefer to stop near the end after we've done the last biggish hill (probably the one going up toward Biggin Hill from the M25). Let's see how things are on the day.

The Dulwich Paragon lot all decamp to the St Germain cafe at the top of CP hill and leave bikes outside the cafe in a very cavalier fashion (given the area) and I'm told there aren't any problems with that. Don't know if they sell beer though, which would seem to be important for any SC ride...
  • raising the flag of a dropout - my physio has had to move slot to 1pm on the sunday...

    sorry chaps :(

It'll be nice and sunny now - don't you worry!

  • I am still on for this, weather permitting. Crisp and cold would be good, rain not so good!

May be rubbish on any hills though, having recently discovered just how much difference fewer gears on the winter bike's double makes over vs the compact I am used to.

No beer as far as I am aware :( , its a French café (and a small one at that so may have problems fitting us all in).

  • Should still be OK if it rains, the waterproof coat should keep the upper half dry and the easier pace + no backpack should mean I won't sweat buckets unlike this mornings commute :-)

Oh dear, looks like sw trains might have scuppered my plans, engineering works this weekend - bus replace = no bike = no ride

balls, looks like I'm out, guess I'll have to do a solo yokel ride :(

I'm actually planning to come along, though it's entirely dependent on me getting up in the morning early enough to drive to London, which may well not happen at all.

If the weather perks up, I may be available Sunday (and my +1) for yokel riding with you. As long as you wait for me......

I'd happy lend you my hybrid to slow you down a smidge. It does have mudguards though. And a pannier rack for sarnies / a flask of tea if you have to wait a VERY long time for me.
