they look nice, bargain for what you paid. That's negative travel you're talking about, they may not be pumped up properly.

  • Nice one, really nice build. I bet you're well chuffed with it aren't you? I would be, thats a cracking build for the money. It will be even better when you get your new front wheel on and you brakes. :)

Whatever you do, DONT put white brakes on there, it wont go at all ;)

    Well done!

yeah you should do that, if you buy frame/forks and wheels used, you can build stuff like that down to a fair price, as you've just found. My scott cost me probably just under a grand to build, the retail on it would probably be more than double that, though i'm going to have to spend a few hundred more on some other bits and getting the forks/shock serviced (since it's a scott pull shock, only scott can service it, and it costs £120 :( )

i'll be looking to spend under £2000.
yeah thats what i don't like about scott :(

37lbs  jeez alive i didnt think it would be that heavy

my xc120 is just over 26 atm with dt wheels and revelations, got some nobby nics comin this week which should knock a bit more off, hopefully it'll be sub 25 then, which aint bad for a bike with 150mm of front travel :D

i reckon with some lighter kit alround you could get that down to under 30 easy
