£45!? feck me, that's cheap! If i hadn't just put an SLX crankset on my On-One, i'd have bought one of them. Ne'er mind, eh.

I was toying with the idea myself whether it was worth forking out for the tools v send it to the lbs. For first time build I'll probably go down the lbs like you.0

facing tool you generally don't need and can get away with on decent modern frames and I've made my own version of headset press as per interweb instructions which will do the job. So that leaves shimano BB tools and whatnot but tbh for the sake of a small chunk of change for a one off build might as well let lbs do it all and not have the hassle. I was feelin' all diy at one point. Seems to have passed.0

better safe than sorry
with me it's that i haven't got the sort of money for being able to screw up i could have a go at doing diy stuff on my bike but when you are on a tight budget you loose less money if you let the lbs do the things. anyway what are you going to build?0 -
Long story but I've had a Pipedream Sirius 2010 frame on pre-order for months and the end is finally in sight. Best not talking about it really it only increases waiting tension. :?0
