10% off bike stuff at Halfords with BIKEDAD, tempted to get a 4iii HRM especially if they let me use my BC discount as well.

Shorts arrived from theboyfold and they fit yay! mind you there 2 sizes larger than their recommendation, i'm guessing that had a lot to do with the price.

Thanks theboyfold hope you find a suitable replacement

Its not described as such but I am almost certain that is a Gore Shakedry Jacket for £70. Not many left but a bargain if so.

Kit radar has 30% off site wide (BIGSALE30) which has meant a restrap frame bag for big days with a jacket and a jam sandwich for £30 delivered. Along with my alpkit bar bag and some 28's the CAAD12 is all set for some light touring as soon as the weather plays ball!

    https://kitradar.com/collections/bags/p ... frame-bags

Update, what a great little bag it is - thoughtfully designed & put together, and I can still access both bottles on my tichy 52cm frame, despite plenty of room inside the bag itself. Now I need the weather to play ball so that I can actually use the thing on some big days out.

For £35 or even £50 I'd buy the light again - much more and I'd look at a different brand.

Get with the programme... It (was at the weekend) 31.50 on cycle republic, which Halfords will match - and then you can add 20% of if you're a Halfords Cycle2work scheme customer, or 10% BC / CTC discount..

Bad bits - the remote plugs into the charging socket - having removed the waterproof bung ... eh? what numpty thought that one up! What's worse, is that if you use the outfront mount - when you'd want the remote, the unit is upside down - exposing the charging socket to the rain ... eyewateringly stupid! .
Yep, bonkers. The metal body should have a proud rain lip, and the remote a silcon bung on it. I've used some left over black gutter sealant to fabricate a bung around the remote cable.

Hmm, looks like this has come a cropper in the last few days, as it refuses to turn on, and won't charge.
How is anyone else's version of this doing?
Mine was fine last time I looked end of May - I occasionally use it as a torch in the garage - otherwise it's just left there - don't ride late at night atm so don't need a big front light....

Have you tried charging it and plugging something into the charging socket (ie try and charge your phone or another light from it) ?

Yeah, the USB charger charges other equipment without a problem, but it's a high power 2A charger.

I ended up using a very old 0.5amp charger to give it a trickle charge over 4 days, and it eventually powered up.

Seems leaving the USB remote control connected has a low level draining effect...

    Odd - because it's just a microswitch ....

but thanks for the headsup - I must admit - I removed my remote when the dark commutes stopped ... didn't really need it cluttering the bars or the faff of connecting & disconnecting it ...

Fine spot - the pic is definitely a shakedry, so either the description is wrong with regards to the hood, or the picture is incorrect - good old TK Maxx.........!

Someone has hopefully landed a billybargain though.

Time to bin the very poor quality Rapha core bibs that have weird floppy leg bands and have gone see through across the arse amazingly after being worn no more than 12 times.

Yet my classics and pro look like new, not bad considering i bought the classic in 2012

Sorry to repeat this again, but what was the consensus of the sizing guide compared to castelli? If I can do an L castelli, should I go for a 32"? Or would the 33" fit better?

If I'm not getting this, I'll be getting an Endurance v2, which also has the Progetto X2, but is ~£100 atm.

Suggest 2 sizes up if you don’t want to use a crowbar to get into and have tight straps. Mine were 30” for what’s it worth. The legs are longer than Castelli’s Free Aero but were fine when on bike.

I’m likely to go back to La Passione to use their 20% code this weekend.

I have a pair of Large Free Race Aeros which I bought at peak fitness so wanted something a touch looser and went for a 33. If anything they were tighter (straight from the bag). I'd suggest a 33 if you want compression, 34 if you want comfort.
Disclaimer - This may change if they stretch with use, my Aeros are 3 years old.

So for me, the guide said Castelli small = chpt 3 size 30.

It was a squeeze first time, but after the initial struggle seemed to loosen up a bit.

However, the majority of people in here are of the opinion you should go one size up from the listed chpt3 equivalent.

    I've stuck with a 30 for these, as I like/need a super close fit.
    M = 31, L = 32 etc
