A month out of date then
FLASH7 code until end of 8th June for 10% off pretty much everything cycle related at Halfords, Bromptons might be the only exception.

If they accept BC discount, the Direto 2 would be ~£450.

I ordered an x-small and small just yesterday to try, pretty sure BTR has waxed lyrical about them previously.

It was the only item (in chartreuse) that jumped out at me.

How's the fit? I'm normally a small in the Pro Team stuff, think I might need to go up to a Medium though to fit a baselayer and jersey underneath.

They arrived today, and the XS, is definitely extra small - I'm only currently 63.5kg, and around a 34" chest, and as it has pretty much bugger all give, the two sides were not looking to meet.
IMHO, you would need to be circa 60kg or less, and or have a 32" chest for the XS to fit.
The small fits me nice and snugly though, so that is a keeper.
Should be a useful garment for those cold early starts, but then can be rolled up and stuffed in a jersey pocket.

I suspect this may all be too late for you (Unless you went ahead and ordered?) as they mostly seem to be out of stock now.

Cycle gear at Lidl from next Thurs (18th), https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/MiddleofLidl.htm?id=1128&ar=3 , looks very uninspiring IMO besides perhaps the smart helmet now being £35.

Up to 30% off selected Halfords bikes, may still include National Trust family pass https://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/sto ... rsalebikes

    Womens Jerseys but no Mens?
I picked up one of each of the three styles last time they did them, still see a lot of them around town.

I'm sure they used go to town on these; socks, sunglasses, tools, nutrition etc.

Perhaps that market has become saturated, and they have found sales have reduced overall.
There are a lot more budget, reasonable quality options out there now than there were 5-10 years ago.

A shame as they offered good quality for £9-13, you might something from Tenn or Funkier on sale for around that.
I've tried a cheap unbranded jersey at the same price from Wish and also a Chinese seller on Amazon and the fit/cuts are awful. Make Aldi & Lidl offerings look like Castelli

They did have them earlier in the year. Seems odd that they haven't used the Tour to help promote more though.

I actually went ahead and ordered, a small in the Gilet (and I also picked up a Core Rain jacket too). Unfortunately, gilet is way too tight across the chest, which I was sort of expecting anyway given how my PT Aero jersey fits these days. Should have ordered a medium!

As an aside, the Core Rain jacket seems to fit rather well (sleeves are slightly too baggy perhaps), so think I'll be keeping that.

I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

Couple more bits added to the Chpt.3 sale, including these: https://chpt3.com/collections/sale/products/bib-shorts-1-11?variant=39292030788

I missed out on the 1.12 bib shorts, are these worth taking the plunge for?

    Try my favourite AliExpress seller:

I’ve found all of the kit I’ve bought from them to be superb, even compared to very expensive stuff. Absolutely top notch.

Yep, one size up from my civilian clothes. They are kind of race fit, mostly.

I've given them a go, worse case they go into the bin as some of the crap PlanetX and Amazon fake Castelli i've bought in the past.

@UE - are even their bibs decent, I would have thought a jersey you can make fit properly, but you can't overly cheapskate on the chamois pad without it being noticable?

@SP - what was wrong with them?

Re cargo bibs, sportful super giara seems to be a viable option.
    1 leg pocket, 2 rears.

Only reason they appeal to me would be the option to be able to cover a century non stop, and or also shorter rides, sans saddlebag.

Surely if you have something in a leg pocket its going to wobble around and generally be annoying?

Not according to the reviews I have read.
It seems the pockets are tight, and keeps stuff immobile, within reason I guess.

My candidates would just be the likes of food pretty much, gels and energy bars, so pretty lightweight.

You can stick a gel up your leg. Could probably do so with several if you needed to. Not sure I can see the point of cargo shorts, but each to their own.

I still think they look odd. Rapha's photo of the bloke with a satsuma stuck to his leg especially so.
