My guess is they are a perfect "in case of emergency" wheelset - which is exactly what I want.
It's almost cheaper than the hubs themselves if bought from the usual UK suppliers.

Should be perfect for typically road based commute.

Why do these offers always come in the day after I buy something through ebay? I reckon they must have some form of algorithm that checks my purchases before offering the code out to all and sundry - at least you all stand to benefit!

Hi all,

Had my eye on this Vitus Energie 1x CX http://www.wiggle.co.uk/vitus-energie-cyclocross-bike-apex-1x11-2019/ as a potential winter commuter / cx dabbler / do it all bike, and with a Wiggle Platinum discount which is 20% until next week it seems like a steal for £800 -- hydro discs, thru axles, mudguard mounts, carbon fork and the colour isn't bad either.

Just wondering if I'm missing something, the price almost seems too good to be true compared to similarly specced bikes. What do we think?

It has quite a close-spaced casette for 1x.

With a 40T front ring, a 11-40 (or bigger) is more normal on the back. Only an issue if you are going to take it off road though.

I'll try and get some photos of mine up but there are no drawbacks. It is heavy, but it does fly. I averaged 19mph on mine the other way over 20 miles and 1000ft. I've done 50 milers on it. It's epic for CX too.

Has anyone got direct experience of the difference between the Edge 520 and Edge 520 plus?

Would be interested to hear as I'm pretty tempted at £150 for the Edge 520.

I've been happy enough using breadcrumb navigation for the past five years on an edge 500/200 so navigation features aren't a big deal really.
