Will try my hardest on Saturday night to resist those demons in my head saying "stay out, have another drink, that girl at the bar keeps looking at you, go and chat to her" and hopefully see you all at 10am bright and early on Sunday.

  • it ll probably end up rusty the mmbop.

what you could do Helter, is stay longer talk to that chick and stay of the drink. so you stay and keep the shape of an olympic athlete. and even if you dont sleep much you go and ride at the back of pack moan and groan for an hour then you have a blast after. 8)

OK I am suitably chastised. Humble and abject apologies. This weekend will be sorted, and will be there early so I can give someone else a hard time.

Great ride today, some new bits (to me anyway) ended up doing Parklife and Barry's afterwards, which seemed a bit smoother than it used to be. Hopefully my new forks will be on their way in a few weeks too :D

    Close :)

If you know anyone who wants a lighter than your enduro bouncy bike, let me know. If the guy who PM'd me doesn't want I'll either split or wait a bit before I re-advertise it.

I think you will do better selling it whole due to the random selection of bits on it.

TWO specialised wheels. It's a wheelset off a Pitch. Or are Specialized now building mismatches?

  • ahh another dune... damm the zesty returns king of the bling...

Coed y brenin , very very good riding, the riding gods or whatever must be with us.. its always been sunny.

trails are great some really physical with all the rock slabs...
Mbr trail is actually very good fun with the section of abel and false teeth, that has one.

and the guys will agree dinner at sauce pan after lots of "Gnarl" is the high light of the day.

Mbr trails are well worth it compared to what many people say. only issue they are too short... basically you start pushing and getting a good rythm..getting air or ridiculous slides through corner ( not to metinon crashes or foot dabs) then its already over.

well worth the long hours of drive.. and it is not that much more than Afan....

  • Hi all,

Found myself diverted to this thread regarding riding in the Surrey hills and North Downs. Basically my friends and I are looking to expand our usual figure of 8 we ride starting and finishing in Coldharbour. It takes in Summer lightning, Barry's, Pitch hill and back via Yogurt pots. Its a great 18 mile loop but we've all read so much about so many more trails and hidden gems, and we're wanting to find them!

So basically we're all located down in Shoreham By-Sea which is on the coast about 35mins from Coldharbour/Leith Hill and looking to join in with a ride that would show us more of riding up there?

Or better still is anyone with good knowledge wanting to join us to shows us the ropes?

    Cheers all,

    Shaun

Brilliant ride on Sunday, cheers to all. Was good to get out again although judging from the graze on my face and arm I need to get over my fascination with trees. Probably out of the game again until the exams are over at the end of the month but will see how the revision goes.

    Keep on riding!

@shaunlfc1 we ride there most weekends. Sometimes the more common bits, sometimes the lesser known places, Ranmore, Redlands, Winterfold etc.
Really depends on who will be there, and how well they know the place. Richard2118 is our resident native - I think he lives under a tree.
Keep an eye here to see what, when etc, and feel free to add your opinions.
You are more than welcome to join in, we do spend a fair amount of time resting and talking though.
