My little feedback to riding buddies after revelations with Jedi, would be very quite and discreet for now. Some may think that after paying handfull of money and come out a better rider, these people are very wrong. I had erased all my own expectations of how to ride, and got very different mindset +few core fundamental basics. I really thought that from previous Popstar after lesson I would emerge as Michael Jackson but the real learning proccess just has began.

After today's ride in SH on classic trails, I didn't struggle anymore with the bike but managed to control and wrestle it the way I wanted. Didn't notice any speed increase at all, just had to wait for riding buddies quite long at the end of trails. Most probably did, because they were Noobs but I am allright with massaging my ego. Managed to crash too, doing jumps but the thing is I straight away picked up my mistake and corrected it by doing the same jump perfect 5 more times.

I still need a lot to ride and learn all things I have been taught all over again, and only then can give proper feedback the way it deserves.

I am happy to tag along in the back of peleton of Sunday warriors for now and keep discovering myself.

@DKenny, when Popstar rides there are always spills, but they are the perfomance ones 8) .

Should be able to make it, maybe Thel33ter can escape for a bit as well

    I can only do Saturday.

No Aston for me this week. Hand not broken but still too painful to risk that sort of riding. Swinley seems doable though on the bouncy fun bike.

I'm awaiting a tyre in the post. If it arrived today I'll have been carded so that means picking it up tomorrow AM. Might be able to swing by the PO before heading out.

Else I can probably go out with the dodgy rear tyre as it is. A bit of duck tape applied perhaps.

Got a Minion on order also for the front but not something required for Swinley. Was thinking of trying that amongst the steep loose rubble stuff on Tunnel Hill.

    Sunday I'm probably otherwise occupied.

Only £30 if anyone wants it.

@DK - Suggest we start about 10, give you time to pick up your tyre if it's arrived and we can fit it there. Anyway who needs tyres. Real men use rims, as Popstar would say.
@Shmikuk - DK is the only person I know with a permit. We've been riding there for years without one, rangers never ask. But I suppose it's the right thing to do. Don't lose any sleep though.
@Atz - exercise is the best thing for pain relief. Hope you make it. Need you for your encyclopaedic knowledge.

@thel33ter - your link doesn't work for me.

@all I need to pick up Thel33ter in Bagshot, but his road backs onto Swinley, and it's quite a fun ride in, also much closer to the Labyrinth bit than the boring roads from the entrance.
How about we meet there instead.

    College Ride in Bagshot:

Further up the road from the A is the back entrance to Pennyhil Park, at the very top of the hill. Back entrance to Swinley is directly opposite. It's also where I performed my Superman impression, so you might get a laugh.

It was a really nice rim while it lasted though, and the back ones' still fine.

As for Cooldad's Judge Judy - not a great choice for your tattoo.

Tyres were left on the doorstep which was handy. Usually when I want them to do that they card me, and when I don't, like for something valuable they leave it in plain sight to get nicked.

Anyway just got to fit one, but that will be tomorrow morning. 10 sounds good though. Is there parking around there? Else I can just meet somewhere like the jump gully.

Permits - up to you. Yes you're supposed to have one, but I know the vast majority who go there probably don't bother. If you really want to you just go into the Lookout centre and ask for one. £2 for a tacky looking sticker basically for the daily ones.

I just buy the annual one because I go there a lot and felt it was worth contributing to the upkeep. I don't expect anyone else to get one though :D.

Plenty parking - it's a quiet residential street, but there's also a tennis club with plenty parking always space.
Much nicer ride than from the gate, and a much shorter drive - less driving = more riding.

So 10 am- - me, thel33ter, DK, Shmikuk, and maybe Atz at the top of College Ride in Bagshot.

Probably best to park at the tennis club, its on the left if you go straight up the road, if you need a postcode use GU19 5EW.
