No worries. Technical is good. Stamina is an issue for me, but I'm up for it anyway, especially if I find new bits of goodness :D

And yeah, I'll do the chicken runs if I feel it's too dangerous for my skills, but that shouldn't hold anyone up.

    Hey guys,
Chanced upon this thread by accident and wondered if you'd mind me coming along on Saturday? Was planning a solo jaunt out of Peaslake around Pitch etc, but three hills of pain & suffering with like minded souls would be far superior

    Hi Will

No problem, we just meet at roughly the right time (this means you DK), and ride somewhere.

Look for and elderly bluey green BMW with racks on the roof (me), or a red Honda (DK).

See you Saturday 9.30. Plough Inn.

    Here: http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&ie= ... 21904&z=13

PM me if you want a contact number.

As today is my big B-Day being 18 years old with 12 years experience, had to do some significant thingz to impress myself. Made a couple of photos and videos today, even then managed to drive to Afan ride it then come back and have dinner rounding off the whole day with bottle of Bubbly. Was well impressed !

@Richard, don't take me too seriously. I'm quite happy to take the chicken runs. You guys are just a bit fitter than I'm used to. But nothing wrong with a bit of a challenge.
Was just making Atz feel less of a girl actually.

Thats cool just wanted to make sure people knew where i was coming from.
To be honest you made yourself sound like a girl more :D

Shame I had to rush back home and didn't ride the end of -Skyline-. There is always next time. But don't feel too bothered, as it started to poor quite heavily after lunch time.
Video's look very tame from -chesty- though, DKenny most probably would complain.

    Thanx for greetings :D .

Happy Birthday. Nice to see the bike is still kept sparklingly clean in those photos :D

Talking of Wales. Weren't we thinking of doing a trip bank holiday weekend? Still up for that. Just need to sort me a FF and extra pads if it's Cwmcarn, but up for Afan also.

    Hi Cooldad.

Just checked your link to find the Plough Coldharbour. Can you confirm it's the one on Broomehall Road & not the one on Abinger Rd.

    Cheers Stan :)

Ah, I missed the discussion about which pub. I assumed The Plough (which is opposite Wolverns Lane, hence popular starting point).

    So it's Plough Inn then?

I guess it's closer to the tower end of Leith. Though I suspect we'll be going via a killer of a climb! :D

There are no killers climb wise from Plough Inn. Richard knows his way arounds.

As for BankHoliday away trip, may I suggest go to Afan and do Whites first, break, then head off to do the end of Skyline as recommended?

    @ thel33ter - that's just wrong. Bummer.
@ the rest - I can't find The Plough Inn on that Google map link I left, so is it definitely The Plough Inn on Broomehall Road? (Wherever that actually is.). I also assumed it would be the one at the bottom of Leith in Abinger rd.

Doubt Wales, but maybe on Saturday if we can get you home by 1, or will you be leaving earlier?

A month? Think fatfreddyscat's took much longer than that! Though that sounded like a pretty serious break.

I take it you did it on the bike?

@cooldad - Whites isn't so bad. Perhaps should try it in better weather, and avoid the black stuff on the hard tail! Though don't know what it's like riding any of it on a HT anyway. It's a bit rocky in places.

    Interested in the Wall.

Is this the London rides thread?

I've just moved to Leytonstone, and I was wondering what there is in the way of offroad riding round here. I'm off out on my bike later for an explore around Wanstead Flats and Snaresbrook, it looks on the map like it might be possible to link up bits of forest and do an offroad ride all the way to Epping Forest.

Can anyone recommend good places to ride nearby, or point me towards any organised rides?

]here[/url] at 9.30am quite far away from leytonstone though. Bungalistic rides around Epping quite a lot, never been there myself
